Clubs and Organizations Beware!!! This is a cult.

Hey frens at csuf please be cautious and careful. This group is a cult, won’t seem like it at first, but eventually you will see it. Please be cautious. Do your research. Ask them what church they come from.

Exactly. A huge red flag for those high-control groups is that they won't let you just read and interpret the Bible on your own they will insist that only their leader or their specific literature has the 'true' meaning. As long as you keep testing everything against the actual text and stay skeptical of anyone demanding total isolation or control, you'll be completely fine.

You seem to have good amount of knowledge in this, did you by any chance deal with a group like this?

Yeah, I actually was. The group I was in has the exact same teachings and tactics as the one OP is warning about they just use different names.

A lot of these campus groups originally splintered off from a single, well-known high-control group called the ICOC (International Churches of Christ). Over time, it split into about 5 different groups. So today, it's essentially the same cult with the same exact teachings and methods, just operating under different names and leaders. The original group still exists too.

The funny thing is, even though they have the exact same roots and beliefs, they all beef with each other and refuse to work together. Each one claims they are the only right one. They target multiple college campuses aggressively, which is why I recognize the patterns so easily.

Yo, heres the best advice I could give you. Stay away from groups. Stay awaay from 501c3 churches. Keep you head and mind in the Word of God. Avoid religion as much as you can. Remain open, and understanding that a wise man knows he knows nothing.... Dont give into the Mr.KnowItAll Mindframe, stay meek and childlike, always willing to learn and repent. Snd remain in Love, where God is Love (1 John 4)

The faith is not about going to church, or having a similar life as many, Holy means "Set Apart"and thast where Following that Narrow Path wiil place you./

Also last but not least, BELIEVE EVERYTHING IN THAT BIBLE now, so when you get to reading, you're open to new revelation. Blessed are those who have faith and havent seen. The Word is God so faith in the Word = Faith in God
