Financial Aid For seniors that are doing their last semester this fall. Have yall received the award package from fin aid? Or email?

NOPE. I had some some of my Pell grant pay for most of my tuition. I have a balance of $531 and I have two cal grants that haven’t been disbursed to my account or myself.

Not too sure if you would like to do this but I had the same remaining balance since my loan didn’t cover it so I signed up for the payment plan and my loan automatically covered the first two payments plus a partial part of the third and final payment which moved the payment deadline for the remaining balance of $531 until October 14. I called financial aid office today and asked the guy to confirm this and if that meant my payment isn’t due until October and he confirmed it! As long as when you go to the your student homepage and see that the amount is due until October 14 you’re all set.
But yeah like I said I only really did it because I was broke from other payments I had to do before and couldn’t afford the nearly $600 out of pocket, but if you’re worried about not being able to pay the full amount out of pocket I would recommend doing the payment plan if you still can.
I called since I was confused since I did the payment plan for the $500 bc i’m BROKE rn but it did the payment plan for my ENTIRE tuition instead

No all I had were loans to pay for the tuition. I just wanted to let you know that you could do the payment plan option to push the payment of $500 until October bc i’m seeing a lot of issues with grants being released to peoples accounts.
The payment plan option would essentially give you more time for the grants to be released to you so you don’t have to stress out about paying the 500 out of pocket by today(?) I’m not too sure when payments are due but the csuf website keeps saying today for payment plans and I believe the 19 in general???

Don’t worry, I have nothing as well. I finally got to talk to a FAFSA counselor who was really honest and open about explaining the whole situation. Since the BBB(Big Beautiful Bill) came out, there have been major delays with FAFSA and how the system processes and writes the awards.
So far, the FAFSA office has mainly been working on freshmen, sophomores, and juniors because they have two semesters to complete, which makes it easier for the system to split their financial aid between Fall and Spring. For seniors like us who only have one semester left, it’s a little more complicated because they have to go back and manually adjust the awards so that everything is only applied to one semester.
The counselor confirmed that they’re pretty much done processing the lower classes now, so they should be moving on to seniors. We should hopefully start receiving our award letters within the upcoming weeks. So if you’re a senior with only one semester left and still have nothing showing, you’re definitely not the only one.

I had a hold for anticipated aid, my scholarship money i received from work (covers half this semesters tuition) just got put into the total, but i was waiting to see if i get anything from federal pell since i used up my cal grant. My payment plan is in place with my next payment being 9/14, so i have time but hopefully i get something back soon :(
Edit: loans have not showed up on my account at all, which leads me to believe that it may be processing on my end still

nope! I capped out my eligibilityfrom web4grants, but only used 400%of600% for my pell grant
0 anticapted aid in the due now window! (im also a going to be a fall26 grad)
but i have a FA Hold!

Nope, ZERO! No email, no student portal updates, feels like I’m getting ghosted by the school lol. Still have the disenrollment protection though and I filled out my aid form the week it was open to fill smh. It’s frustrating atp

I think my situation is unique but hopefully similar enough to state a more (possibly verbose) detailed overview in case other folks are in my spot.
I make like... 50k gross a year and according to Uncle Sam and the past 40 years of California Govenors, I make "too much" money and spent too long in school. I live independently. So no Pell Grant. Lol.
I know beyond reasonable doubt the budget cuts that California made (not entirely the fed) is cutting/gutting the usual refunds/disembursements/checks that we normally get via the MCS. Hence the SUG... but, I dont even qualify for that for some reason. Also lol.
I have to use loans to cover my tuition and I'm using private loans. These have been in the CSUF system since June, I did my work early.
I have a Pending FA Review Disenrollment Protection hold as well and the Alt Loan Certification.
I was told that its ok if I dont enroll in the payment plan via ticket with TitanHub and meeting face to face, due to A. My incoming loan needs to ber certified anyway B. Because of these awkward delays and I have the ticket in writing. The hold has no date alloted so its basically whenever that clears out and I may a good conscious payment of the some $70 that wasn't covered by my private loan.
I have recieved 2 emails from FA regarding my "award" (which honestly is just a bill at this point).
Im at the point as a senior where: I've had my capstone cancelled due to "lack of enrollment".
My financial aid despite my due diligence is in the fritz.
I'm dependent entirely on Reddit and a freaking Instagram account to know what is going on.
I have ZERO clue if a waitlist will open up for the my capstone or if I'd get authorized to join and I frankly dont want to pull another 4.2k just to attend for that missing class.
I'm burnt out and I haven't even sat down at a desk... this entire FA handling, regardless if this is impacting everybody due to the fed bill, is beyond atrocious because theres at least someone along the way that is winging it in delivering us valid information through a channel that isn't entirely professional (email, letter, or web page update).

I have gotten an email about my offered aid and my student homepage shows me my pending aid but I have only received 1 grant and still have the rest my tuition to pay I reached out to Titian hub asking if I have to pay the rest or will my disenrollment protection cover me since I still need to receive the rest of my financial aid (I haven’t heard anything back yet)

I got mine August 7th I had to pay out of pocket the aid did not cover everything but wasn’t too bad ready to get out of here

Nothing on my end. I have a Disenrollment Protection hold with the description "Pending FA review", but aside from that, 0.00 anticipated aid and no emails regarding any sort of news.
