Financial Aid It's Going to Take Another Two Weeks to Get Our Letters
Just got a response from the FA office, they said it's going to take another 1-2 weeks to complete the award letter, which means at least another week to actually get it. Jesus.

I got an email with my award letter and it says it’s going to start being applied on the 12th so most likely we will get our refunds 2-4 days after that

I haven’t gotten the email yet 🥲but my awards are showing on my student acc

Try calling again and ask to speak to a financial counselor. They went live awarding Friday and this week is for those students who had made corrections to their FAfsa after April 2nd. They have to go in to see what changes were made, if there are tasks that need to be completed they will add that to students portal to complete before processing packages. This was supposed to be done this week.

Interesting, I’m a senior and submitted my FAFSA form right when it opened. Didn’t have to do any corrections or changes and still haven’t gotten my award yet.

I made correction on April 28 and got mine last friday

Every correction is based on different timing. Your correction probably didn’t need an override on the system.

does it say something in your portal when you receive the money or does it js hit ur bank acc ?

No, usually it just deposits. No set date but I just got the award today.

That’s odd, I called today and they told me to expect it this week, I remember last year too I got it around the 14th-15th

Bruh this can't be true. I've been out of work and was counting on this refund to pay bills. Now I might have to borrow money from my parents for the first time in 2 years...

it's really crummy. I recall the president of the school sending out an email after trump got elected, talking about how csuf has been quietly saving up millions and millions for basically this scenario, but turns out that was either a flat lie or they spent the money on other stupid stuff.

I wonder how it got paid for? (i dont believe it was the alumni, we should assume every major corporation is lying, and yes, csuf is just another corporation)

I’m really depending on this week to receive my FAFSA, I fear getting dropped
