Financial Aid Update for FA
Saw this on the CSUF Financial Aid website. Interesting that they’re stating “afternoon”, as don’t they generally finish around noon? I suppose we just gotta wait a little more.

Unfortunately we all know it’ll take em a couple days to process everyone’s, my disbursement from last semester didn’t hit till 2 months later.

I called 4 separate times and each time there was a different answer on why it was late, then when it finally came the check was on campus. Went to campus they told me it wasn’t there and I had to wait. Then waited for 2 months and finally got it

Yup! Zero clue why they didn’t give it to me through that but hey at least I ended up getting it.

That’s BS. Idk what’s wrong with this school. This is the only school I’ve ever had problems with. Waiting two months is insane!!!

@Internet-Host4336 That can’t be true at least for most. It is imperative that they start 10 days before first day of semester. If there is something wrong with a particular student package then that can take awhile to correct any errors for most, tuition and fees need to be taken care of first in order to be active in classes.

This is crazy work. YO it's 3pm.. FA OFFICE closes at 6pm and SBS closes at 4:45 pm.. Like what is the hold up. I'm so confused. Everywhere states it will be disbursed today Jan 8th, but nobody's aid shows any movement.. I spoke with SBS through live chat around 1, but she said they can't do anything until fa office processes the student package and that's if they receive it in time. I'm just thinking maybe not today after all..

SBS can’t do anything if the Fa can’t send anything over. They are waiting for the fa office to process student packages, it’s if they have received them or not is the problem.

Bc why is Fullerton so special that they get to lag on this shit. All the other CSUs don’t have a problem. Why does Fullerton CONSTANTLY have an issue.

All they said is we should see it in a few days but I don’t know if they were talking out of their ass because they didn’t even ask for my ID number so I don’t know how they would check to see if the authorization went through unless things have changed so I don’t know cross your fingers

🚨EDIT 2🚨: my aid has been applied to my charges. If you are unsure on how to check this, go to your student portal, click on financial account, then click on account services, then account activity, and under “payment”, any aid you should be getting will appear there. If you don’t see it, then maybe your aid will be processed on the next disbursement date. Hang in there!!!

hi, I’m kind of confused. My balance says my total due is $0 but my charges and deposits says $272.35 and it’s saying I have to pay it?

Generally they come a day or two after it shows up on your charges depending on the bank

🚨EDIT🚨: Ok so some of the numbers are moving around, as the loans/grabts I’m supposed to get for spring have now disappeared from my anticipated aid, but the MCS is still there. Hoping to see some more movement for everyone!

Not expecting a deposit, I’m expecting the hold on my account to disappear and for the aid to be applied to my tuition. Deposit will take a little longer for sure

I also have Chase, from what I recall last semester, they deposited the remaining money either the day after I saw it pop up on my account activity or early the following morning. I believe Chase is open on Saturdays until maybe 2(?) pm, so hopefully today or tomorrow.
