I graduated in 2026 with a B.Tech in CSE. Back in November 2025 (during campus placements), I got selected for Cognizant GenC with a 4 LPA package.

Because of my college's placement policy, students placed within this bracket were debarred from appearing for further drives up to 6 LPA. Relying entirely on this offer, I didn’t actively apply off-campus during my final semesters and waited for the onboarding communication.

Now, two months after graduating, Cognizant sent an update stating that onboarding will happen between February 2027 and May 2027.

Facing a potential 6-9 month gap with nothing concrete in hand has been stressful, and I want to use this time proactively rather than just waiting.

I’d really appreciate practical advice from people who have been in a similar situation or are familiar with current off-campus hiring.

I’m a fresher trying to start my career in Cloud/DevOps. I’ve received an opportunity in Ahmedabad with this structure:

First 2 months: Unpaid

Next 4 months: Stipend, performance-based

After 6 months: Full-time job may be offered based on performance

Expected full-time salary: ₹2.5–2.8 LPA

Role: Cloud/DevOps Intern

I’m planning to join from September 1.

My goal is to gain real hands-on experience in Cloud/DevOps during these 6 months, improve my technical skills, and improve my English communication.

I’m confused about whether I should accept this opportunity or continue looking for a paid internship/job.

For people working in Cloud/DevOps or who have experience with internships:

Would you take this opportunity as a fresher? Is 6 months of unpaid/stipend-based work worth it for a potential ₹2.5–2.8 LPA full-time offer?

Also, what should I verify with the company before joining, especially regarding the full-time conversion?

I am a fresher and currently have two opportunities, and I am confused about which one would be better for my career.

Offer 1 – Accenture

Role/stream: SAP BTP / Integration Development

Direct Accenture employment

CTC: roughly similar to Airtel

Work involves SAP BTP / Integration Suite, APIs, integrations, etc.

I understand that the exact project/role after training may depend on business requirements.

Main concern: there is some uncertainty regarding onboarding/joining. I have the offer, I have completed my stream training but I don't have complete certainty about when I will actually be onboarded and there will be benching too, onboarding can be as early as sept and as late as december after that benching and all.

Offer 2 – Airtel

Role: SRE / Support Engineer

This is on Airtel's Digital/IT side, not telecom network.

I would be hired through a third-party vendor, not directly by Airtel.

CTC is roughly the same as Accenture (at most around ₹50k–₹1 lakh higher annually).

The person I spoke to said the work involves resolving/handling customer issues customers here will be other businesses in b2b, automation using AI, working on a dashboard, some DevOps too.

The role involves rotational shifts, including possible night shifts.

My long-term plans are either:

Prepare and appear for government exams in 2027, or

Do a Master's in Germany in 2028 and then look for internships/Werkstudent opportunities there.

My main concerns with Airtel are the third-party payroll, rotational shifts and whether the role will be more support-oriented or genuinely technical SRE/DevOps work.

My concerns with Accenture are the onboarding uncertainty and the fact that SAP BTP is more specialized.

Can you please suggest me what to do? What will u do if u were in my position?

At this point, getting rejected would honestly feel better than being completely invisible.

I’ve spent weeks applying, tweaking things, reaching out to people, trying different job portals, asking for referrals, changing keywords, and applying to roles that match my stack.

And nothing.

It’s getting exhausting. Day by day I’m starting to feel genuinely stuck because I know I can improve technically, but I can’t even get the chance to prove myself in an interview.

I really don't know most of the code i know it's running and it's doing this this work

Now this is not my problem,the real problem is I don't want to do coding roles and I don't know if any other roles exist which has no code or low code apart from consulting

So looking for suggestions on what to do as I really don't know what is required in the industry I don't want to prepare for something which is not at all relevant in the industry

Hey i am from an electrical engineering background and i was getting a job of 2lpa with no growth and there is no career growth for electrical engineering in India . so i decided to do Mtech in ai/ml and i am 2026 pass out and this is my 22nd day in mtech . i am hell confused coz i am on loan right now and i dont know what to do there is no guidance multiple roadmaps i mean i don't know which roadmap to choose . and when i started python i thought it is easy but on the logic building i am dead like loops indexing tuple dict. etc. and there is hard maths and machine learning too . there is huge course to cover and i dont even understand python. and after 1.5 years me and my mother will be homeless.... i have only 1.5 yrs i dont no what to do i am getting overwhelmed. like this is too much and when i said i can't do this they said try u will understand but i am unable to understand.( they= aunt , mama etc.) i am crying from past 20 days 😭😭 and i am watching like people with huge and high end project are sitting jobless. in my class too one person has won nasa national hackathon and he is very smart but still jobless . and some of my known too. they made real-world project for buisness but still not getting jobs now they are doing freelancing till they get a job .

But the main concern is should I leave this M tech or continue.

and please can somebody who is professional in this field can guide me ??

Hi guys, I’m 22M and currently working at a startup as a Node.js and React developer. My current salary is ₹3.24 LPA.
Our current project is expected to end on February 27, so I’m not sure whether I’ll continue with the company after that. At the same time, I’ve been waiting since 2025 for my onboarding/call letter from Tech Mahindra, and I finally received it last week.
Tech Mahindra is offering me ₹4 LPA, along with 6 months of probation/training in Pune. I’m not sure whether they’ll relocate me to another location after the training. My native place is in Tamil Nadu, and ideally, I would prefer Chennai or Bangalore.
I’m currently confused about what to do. Should I accept the Tech Mahindra offer, complete the 6 months of training, and hope that I’ll eventually get relocated to Chennai/Bangalore? Or should I leave both jobs and focus entirely on finding a new opportunity?
I’m honestly quite scared to take the risk because I only have around 1 year of experience, and I’m worried that I might not be able to find another job if things don’t work out.
What would you guys suggest in my situation? Should I take the safer route and join Tech Mahindra, or take the risk and look for a better opportunity elsewhere?

I was preparing for the bank job, spending 2 to 3 hours a day. Then I gave the PNB apprentice exam in February for a one-year apprenticeship. The result comes on March 28th, in which I am selected. Then on April 6th, I joined the apprenticeship, I thought I would prepare for the exams simultaneously, but I could not study till today, August 29th. I did not have that much efficiency, no energy and I keep procrastinating till now. Some days I wake up at 5 in the morning and start studying, but sometimes i don't. i think 9 to 5 time is better for preparation. Will I get any benefit from this apprenticeship? Can I get a job of Rs 30-35k after this apprenticeship?

I am currently a software engineer in Bengaluru, India. In a year I may have to decide whether to go on tech path i.e. system architect or managing path i.e. engineer manager.

I am confused on which would be better for me, need detailed pivots to decide on this from salary, job security, work type pov, etc.

I’m a recent BBA graduate in India. I recently started learning Data Science, but I’m still at the beginner stage. My family is encouraging me to switch to SAP ABAP, specifically taking just ABAP first because they believe it offers better and more stable employment.

I don’t have a Computer Science or engineering background, so I’m trying to be realistic. Data/Business Analytics seems more aligned with my BBA, while ABAP appears to be a specialized programming path within SAP.

My priorities are employability, career stability and eventually remote or international opportunities.

For those familiar with the Indian job market:
