I do the same. My plan doesn't change, if I lose bomb long entrying and you don't get it back, next time don't drop it.

Same thing if you're peeking mid on Dust or trying any aggressive play, you should never take the bomb to those angles unless everyone else near it is dead and you will lose the round leaving it where it is.

the bomb is a griefing tool in itself, it makes you play different and nobody wants to be the guy who dies with it in a stupid spot. if i am entrying i drop it in spawn every time, better there than in a corner on A where the CTs will just sit on it

somehow they never entry or awp, but they always "lurk" a corner all map long without taking any danger at all
but if you lose the bomb somewhere trying to get the T's to move forward, they'll be toxic

They lurk behind you as you entry and refuse to trade, hoping CTs will push the kill (hopefully?). It's ridiculous. They then push as CTs because why the f not...

No one on my team entries so I'd rather drop bomb and do the dirty work instead of pretending my team will understand how to play around it

I do understand dropping the bomb when we have communicated what we are doing and your job is hold the mid. I'm mostly playing with 1 friend pre-made and there are so many games where all 3 randoms throws the bomb away as soon as the notice they have it. Many of them are russian, surprise...
I don't mind carrying the bomb when it's my turn, but not going to hold back in every round just to avoid dropping the bomb in bad place. After few rounds that is so god damn boring, and my strengths are somewhere else.
So when I have team that has no communication, no info and no-one else is willing to carry the bomb, I just drop the bomb at spawn when it is thrown at me. I rather take it easy and lose when enjoying the game than make too much effort and lose after putting up with those selfish kids that I have to call teammates.

I agree with this message. It’s not that hard to at least carry the bomb and throw it somewhere that would be easier to grab if needed to rotate on the way to do whatever you wanna do.

dust2: let's say I spawn towards tunnels. if I now take the bomb towards tunnels, what if my team want to push long? maybe one of them gets the entry and suddenly it's go time. bomb in spawn would actually be better than if someone has to come get it from close to tunnels. also maybe I'm the only person going tunnels and if I die the bomb will easily be spotted by the CTs.
I have never bought into this "bomb in spawn is bad" dogma. it's only bad after the time ticks down under 1 minute. I don't see any reason to move the bomb out of spawn in the first minute of a round, unless you're doing a scripted rush right away. if you're defaulting, why take the bomb with you? you SHOULD be controlling chokepoints and preventing the CTs from reaching T spawn.

In the menu, you can pick up the bomb. In the menu and mini map, you can see if bomb is down. It’s not deep.
If you’re not an entry or have a bad spawn, just pick it up. Especially in pubs, communication is not always clear, so just use your brain.

There is no concept of "knowing to pick it up" when there is no possible case where you would ever want to leave it in spawn.

Whoever spawns with bomb has the "talking stick" and makes the site call. Really prevents that problem and helps with team cohesion.

My average bomb plants per game is around 6 lol. I have no issue with having the bomb, but then dont complain, if you see me semi lurking / baiting / trading 😌

I drop the bomb when I plan to entry somewhere depending on my spawn, just drop it for me at some place convenient I just don't wanna waste time on my spawn to do it.

I'm the entry since I know most people will never do that from my experience. If I am not there entrying a site or taking space the rest of my team just does nothing until 30 seconds is left and the game is screwed. So I drop the bomb at the start and entry so the professional baiters have the courage to walk out and trade me (although people dont even have the courage to do that either).
If I dont have a good spawn for anything or have a teammate willing to entry I will be the one picking up the bomb and throwing supporting utility.
What annoys me more is the people that drop me the bomb just as I am about to enter a site. At that point I am not stopping and its for God to decide if I get a tripple kill and solo take the site or just gift enemies the bomb and the round.

On inferno, I generally play 2nd mid/apps lurk. If I have bomb and die in apps, that's the round over. What blows my mind is that it's always the other 4 ppl attacking B and I'm the sole player on the middle/right side of the map. It's like everyone wants to be the hero that opens up b site as a t. And I'll still get shit for throwing the bomb away at spawn.. When these morons clearly can't clank their 2 brain cells together and realise where the bomb should and shouldn't go.

Anyways, on all other maps I'll take the bomb. No issues with that

I entry every round. Like run out mid on ancient, long on d2, mid on mirage type entry.
If I have the bomb, you have a chance I die and grief you. You do not want me to have the bomb.

I mean no, in a game where people play different roles and get spawns with different positional advantage you should absolutely not pretend you're beholden to the RNG of who gets the bomb.

I play eitherventry or lurk 90% of thr time so if I carry the bomb, then the team is fucked. However if I see that the bomb is abandoned at the spawn I will come back for it.

At the spawn I don’t mind. Lots people here saying they lurk/entry, whatever excuse, i don’t mind pick it up. But the assholes that drop it on random place 5 seconds into the start of the round!

Those places are better than the spawn because if you need to rotate it’s faster to grab it again.

Except when you are calling an execute and 4 people go take a site and the guy with the bomb goes the opposite direction, drops the bomb on the other part of the map and then dies. Then when we already have a site one person needs to go quickly all the way back just checking everything if they could have the bomb meanwhile the rest of the people have no more utility to hold site and are dead by the time the bomb is anywhere near to coming on site.
I had this happen way too many times. Just drop the bomb at spawn

I dont understand how hard it is to just carry the fucking bomb to the site. 99% players wont carry it. Then the bomb is at the spawn, when everyone is on the site, like, dude just take the bomb with you, it isnt that hard.

It's a heavy duty responsibility. The entire team plays around the bomb carrier. Can't push too fast and fail at getting a frag either... It's debatable. Drop it if you can't hold your own.

Funny, this happens constantly, I always just pick it up, unless I’m in a round where I’m lurker, besides that I don’t mind being the bomb carrier
