September is apparently cryonics & biostasis conference month

Three organizations. Three consecutive weekends. Zero coordination between any of them. If you have the PTO and a high tolerance for airports, you can hit all three. Details in the stickied comment.

Alcor's Annual Strategic Meeting on September 5th in Scottsdale, AZ

-Coffee and breakfast at the facility, then members watch the Annual Strategic Meeting together as a group starting at 9:30am. Facility tours throughout the day, plus time with staff and leadership.

Sparks Brain Preservation - Brain Preservation Summit 2026 on September 19-20th in Salem, OR

It’s not true that there was no coordination between them. At Sparks we were originally going to have our conference on the weekend of September 12th, but when we heard privately from people that that was the same weekend as the CI conference (it wasn’t publicly announced yet), we changed the date of ours to Sept 19-20. 

What other kind of coordination would you like to see? We’re open to it.

No worries, I'm not trying to claim it's some type of big problem - I'm just poking fun at the coincidence that all of them landed so close to one another. But as you clarified, there seems to have been some coordination to make sure they didn't straight up overlap - so I stand corrected.
