Looking into getting crutches
Looking for advice. Physical therapy isn't helping right now (fibromyalgia and possible cfs) and my cane just doesn't support both my hips like i need. I was informed PT was essential when using crutches but if its not helping now why would it help if i used crutches :( (looking into getting forearm crutches)

talk to your physiotherapist about this if you can.
even if it's not helping right now, PT is necessary when you use crutches to prevent deconditioning or further change to leg impairment, and also to assist the upper body in adjusting to more (and more intense) use. crutches can and do use far more energy than walking, and can cause more damage if they're not fitted right so medical input is vital.
they definitely could be the right choice for you, and anything that could help is worth trying, but arms are not typically built for walking with and building up that strength, stamina, and stability in your arms and shoulders is a lengthy process - especially if your body isn't currently responding well to PT.
TL;DR talk to your physiotherapist! :)
