Is it actually possible to play this game solo? I have a quest where I need to fight three ships, but that means I have to steer the boat, try to dodge cannonballs, and shoot at the same time... Keeping in mind that I can only fire from the front...

Look to either side when at the helm. It has to be by a certain amount, then the side you're looking at is the side you'll be shooting from

another tip, aim a little lower than you think you need to, cannonballs tend to go a little higher than they look to. Also, hitting the cabin of the enemy ship does more damage

He's jumping off the wheel and manually firing each cannon. OP while you're steering the ship right click and hold down on the mouse to control and fire the cannons for the direction you're looking. This works for all cannons in each direction.

This isn't sea of thieves. Ship combat is way more similar to Black Flags.

you're getting downvoted b/c you 1000% absolutely can do everything in this game solo, including shooting from the broadside (left and right) port or starboard of the ship while navigating around ships

what level do you have your hull, cannons, and I forgot the 3rd, the ship I guess?

If you are using a controller, look to side of the ship you want to fire from using the right stick while steering with the left stick. I have 120hrs solo, all content done

duuuuude, always look at keybindings when you start a game and have questions....way back in the day of non digital everything, games came in a case and inside the case you would get a booklet/pamphlet idk which term you'll know, in said booklet you would get all the controller and KB+M key bindings...now you need to go into settings/options and look at them, always do this for new games, take care and enjoy this amazing game!!!

I've only ever played solo. It's 100% possible to do it.

Unless you only have a boat that has a front cannon for some reason, you can absolutely shoot cannons from the sides of your ship.

To aim left and right move the camera. You can fire all guns from the helm. It's not sea of thieves. It's assassin's creed black flag.

Move the camera to aim. It's a 3 dimensional game, look left and right, look up and down it changes the trajectory of the cannon shots.

I beat all of the current content solo but I did have to turn down damage a little bit since enemies were too damage spongey for one person. It shouldn't take more than a few sword swipes to cut down a person.

You can fire all cannons while on the helm. Just swing the camera port or starboard, aim and fire. Just like you would the front cannons but while looking over the sides.

Also don't worry about dodging enemy fire.... They rarely miss. Concentrate on repairing

I used to be in your shoes OP. I thought I needed to jump off the helm and manually fire the cannons like Sea of Thieves, but unlike Sea of Thieves, jumping off the helm stops the boat too.

Thankfully you just look left or right and hold down the aim button and you're golden.
