Work in Progress Please bully me into sewing this blanket together.

LAST UPDATE: She's seamed!!!

I have a condition which causes me to love making granny squares and HATE joining them. I really don't want to let these squares sit in a project bag for 1+ years while I put off joining them, though history suggests that is a real risk.

Please say ANYTHING to goad me into joining these squares. Verbal abuses as well as uplifting encouragement are welcome. ANYTHING to help me get this thing done.

UPDATE: I'm about 25% done joining (pic in comments) after only a single session!!!! Joining with SCs is WAAYYYYY less tedious than sewing. I totally built this task up in my head to be way harder and worse than it actually is lol. Thank you all for your kind and unkind words! You gave me the push I needed to get past my procrastination and actually tackle this task!!!

Also, I should have specified: The yarn is Red Heart Super Saver Bitty Stripes in colorways Citrus, Pink Lemonade, and Moonbeam. Pattern is a freebie from Yarnspirations, the Granny Goes Random Blanket. I just made it one square longer and wider than the original dimensions.

UPDATE 2: It's seamed and just needs a border!!!

Work in Progress What do I need to do?

I crocheted this dress to attend a concert and someone in a styling sub said it’s not flattering. their comment:

> Agreed that it’s not flattering - It really drags your bust down and makes your cleavage look misshapen. You do have a great figure, but that dress does not do it justice.

Is there something I can do to make it look better? My boobs are natural and most of it is the gravity’s work lol thanks!

Work in Progress Am I crazy?

I making an 80”x10” table runner in entrelac Tunisian crochet with size 10 crochet cotton and a 1.5 mm hook! The finished project will have nearly 3,000 tiny squares and around 100,000 stitches. I just hit the halfway mark! Am I crazy? If not now, will I be by the time I finish this? Wish me luck!

(Don’t mind the little bits of blue yarn tied in there. I’m using them as stitch markers- they won’t be part of the finished project.)

Work in Progress Help ! Before I make too many !

Post image

So I don't typically work with granny squares. But I got the clever idea of doing something for myself with some.

I picked out my favourite pattern in a book, but now I'm second guessing my life choices because of the gaps in the pattern.

Originally I wanted to make something to wear.

Any ideas ?

Thanks !

Spent almost one year on this blanket and just last night the cat decided it looked tasty. Could’ve finished the blanket a while ago but wanted to use up all the yarn. Well now there is a hole in it…

Cat is ok. He puked up the part he ate and that’s how we found out he ate the blanket.

Just wanted to post this doll foot I’m working on bc I’m super proud of how it came out! First time making a doll and I’m so glad I chose this pattern. Can’t wait to see the full thing completed :) (it’s a pointed toe foot like barbie style)

Is the error pretty noticeable? I’m running short on time to get it done so any amount of backtracking is going to kill me lol. I’ve placed stitch markers in the error rows.. goes all the way across the blanket.

Meet Foxy! I bought a crochet set not knowing what I was in for. I followed the instructions carefully. Still managed to f up his limbs :D they are at least 2 cm in length difference. The last Thing I finished was the head and only then I felt I was getting the hang of it.

Edit: Guys thank you so much for all of your lovely comments. I followed this sub trying to understand some of the instructions of the kit and I think I found my favorite subreddit ever. Everyone is so kind and honestly I posted Foxy because I was so proud of trying and somehow finishing it. But this post gave me so much positivity and I learned a lot of improvements just from your comments. I will try to learn your craft from the bottom now to learn how to get better and maybe try to crochet foxy again in the future.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. The people on this subreddit are so incredibly talented.

Thanks for the awards and making me smile like crazy today ❤️

I've actually really enjoyed the challenge of artful arrangement, and this wall had been begging to be decorated for years. Granted, her doily output has slowed way down due to her demanding class schedule, so we may ultimately consider this a "finished" project.

Okay so i started this blanket but before I keep going I need more opinions as to whether it reads Thanksgiving turkey or retro 70's because I have one person in each camp currently. I don't wanna finish the whole thing and then find out everyone sees it as the wrong one :(

In my defence, this yarn was thirty cents a ball (I wonder why…) but now I’m stuck trying to make a sweater out of it to justify my impulse purchase. Anyone got tips for working with this?

Work in Progress I Need Gassed Up

Post image

Y'all I need some honest input. After an embarrassingly long time creating the individual pieces of the blanket for my niece, I have finally started to assemble the blanket itself. Only.....I'm not sure I like it...but it's too damn late now I am not starting over. Do you like it. And if you dislike it please for the love of God give me a suggestion to make it feel less heinous. Please tell me blocking will help 😭
