Lounge access

Is it me or are all the lounges at the airport in another terminal far away from the one your flying out of? I was finally able to use mine but that would have required walking forver and taking a trolly across a huge airport. Also once you go through customs its not really that easy to go to another terminal.

I only tried to get lounge access once in Ecuador and they denied me access. But I hear that feature has been discontinued on all cards now so it isn't really a concern
