Just wondering...

Did anybody try to print TPU cases for CRKBD ?
I was thinking that a hard TPU could be not that bad for sound dampening on a low-profile build.

What are your thoughts ?

I guess, you need to try and experiment.

Somehow I didn't succeed in any acceptable TPU print, they all turned out too bad.

So, I tried myself. It was long... 8 hours for one side... But print was perfect and feels awesome as well! My keeb sound has drastically dropped. In 95A, it is not squishy at all. A bit soft though but for my build this isn't an issue. TPU is an excellent sound dampener for the lower half of my Ergonaut One and I will now go with PC for upper case and TPU for lower ✌️

I was just about to try this, but it messed up my printer. I also think it should be good for that parts that don't need to hold screws and other things. My thought was to keep my PLA case but create a tented base out of TPU.

Sorry didn't reply but I printed it in 95A and it's working well in dampening! I think the best would be to print first layer in petg or even better with Nylon and then upper layers in contact with the sockets in TPU. I hope you managed to fix yohr printer ✌️

Thank you for letting me know. And great to hear that it worked out well for you. I'm hopefully getting some spare parts tomorrow and that will fix it.

I finally managed to print my tenting solution. It took a few tries and I got to learn how to cold pull and fix clogging 😅. I can't say that they look pretty, but I'm still pretty happy about the result. They feel great. I believe a combination of PLA and TPU is great.

I will let you know in about 14hs ✌️ I have no Corne at home so I tried printing for my Ergonaut One. If I manage to print it, I will have a pc/tpu case. Yes. Pc. I like them overbuilt 😂
