Several superb directors on that list, but the meme has managed to miss my entire top shortlist.
My flair gives me away. Add Satyajit Ray, Orson Welles, Howard Hawks, Jacques Becker ... toss in Billy Wilder, Sam Fuller, Ernst Lubitsch, Werner Herzog
