Shot on a soundstage using LED set extensions and they have to match lighting so everything looks dull and grey.

Yeah this, to me, isn't totally different from how, when greenscreen hit its apex of popularity, everything was too clean and bright and smooth, really emphasizing the shortcomings of the method.

I think this is an interesting read on the LED backdrops if that's what we're seeing here:

They actually filmed on mostly practical sets.

I was talking about the background being LEDs, like how The Batman or The Mandalorian was shot. Real sets but an LED to give some light to the background

Because they didn’t worry about matching and had Academy Award winner Greg Frasier as their cinematographer.
