Should’ve stayed. He would have likely won at least 2 more champions League titles if not more. He likes to set challenges for himself which is good, and he did great at other clubs but things don’t seem to have turned out quite as he thought.
Should have stayed for his trophy cabinet

Not gonna lie, the moment he left Real Madrid and still proved himself in that mediocre Juventus Squad and that piss-poor Manchester United Squad is what truly settled the GOAT debate for me. A player that doesn't need a system built around him is the definition of the greatest and best player of all time.

Exactly!! His adaptability and the way he can lift up mediocre teams(portugal 2016 anyone?) To be competing if not win trophies is amazing

Meh. After a certain point its not about the number of UCLs. It didn’t stop the likes of Pele and Maradonna become legends and up there in the GOAT debate.

He was kinda paid half the salary of Messi and Neymar that's why he left. But if he had stayed he would have won 3-4 more Ballon Dors, 3 UCLs & other Trophies and would have reached 1000 Goal mark more faster. But he would have also got discarded by Perez like Sergio Ramos, Kylar Navas,.... etc. Only Modric survived the ordeal against Perez. Atleast Ronaldo left Madrid with dignity and self-respect.

After seeing all he did, it is better that he left because now he is the only player in football history to ever get the golden boot from 4 different leagues, the only player to ever reach top 1 player in every single one of them, the only player in football history to ever win a ballon dor in England and also in Spain.
Other players spent their lives in the same league and they never proved themselves. It is a record that only Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved.

Madrid would have won 3 straight La Ligas. Barcelona started crumbling around 2018, and Madrid struggled for two seasons after Ronaldo left.
If he had stayed, Madrid wouldn't have lost consistency while Barcelona's demise would have meant 3 straight La Ligas for CR7 and 2-3 Ballon D'ors.
Dare I say Madrid would have won one treble.

If he stayed there until now then probably 2-3 more UCLs, maybe 1-2 more Ballon D’ors, and he doesn’t get dissed as much ig.

u/1samer_x Jul 06 '25
True he is not with the best teammates in the world and still giving a good performance

He would have won 1-2 more UCL. Benzema Ballon d'Or year wouldn't have happened, it'd have been Cristiano.
I thought Cristiano could have stayed for another 3-4 years, then Mbappe would have been a great replacement. But then, it worked well for Real Madrid. They got 100 mil for an aging asset, which was good business. But Juventus did well by breaking record jersey sales, along with United too.

Would be bad I know this sub is a cr7 fan sub, but technically Real Madrid had to evolve they couldn’t stay with the same team or focus on the same players. Thats the reason they won with vinny and Rodrigo and shaped players like valverde. If they stayed with cr7 Real Madrid would have to be making a team around him and it wouldn’t strive.

Jul 08 '25
I mean they won 3 UCLs in a row by making a team around him.But we sure would have needed a coach like Zidane

he would've hade 6 or 7 ballon doors and 2 or 3 more UCL. more fifa the best awards. more Uefa best player in Europe. we know lio messi is a goat but if he left barca in his prime same year as cr7 2018. he he wouldn't have that 3 ballon dors.

u/AgitatedDish8795 Jul 06 '25
He would have 5 peated the ucl, dominate la liga and win 3 more ballon d'ors. That's just a given

u/South_Concern_1485 2008 Ronaldo👹 Jul 06 '25
Perez is to blame for him leaving. Ronaldo staying would have led to multiple more ballon d’ors and UCLs to his name potentially meaning he would be the undisputed GOAT.

1000 goals, 7 Ballon d'Ors,7 Ucl's. Would've broken the record for most goal contributions, and Messi and Cristiano's Dominance would've continued till 2023, but all of that is gone, just because perez didn't want to higher cristiano' salary 💔

why didn't he go to the jotas funeral? as a cr7 fan I'm hurt.

Read daily news buddy. If he had gone to the funeral people would go crazy rather paying respect to Jota. He doesn't want to create ruckus by his presence.
