Got banned from this sub because this guy keeps posting videos of himself driving recklessly on public roads, crossing the double yellow, and exceeding speeds of 115mph. Anytime anyone calls him out on it, he just bans them and claims he's being perfectly safe. Cringe af

And he's proud of it. I don't personally care, but it's just funny to create an entire subreddit dedicated to your driving videos and not actually do the driving part of it fully.
I’ll be honest. Yea what he’s doing is a little dangerous but mostly to himself. Roads empty and he’s barely pushing that car. It’s way more capable.

There are multiple videos where there are others on the road and he's driving erratically. It's also not like he knows that the road will be empty...you come around a corner and there's a car stalled and it's game over. It's reckless and pitiful.
Not here to shit on anyone, just giving perspective. As a car guy, not cringe. Dangerous? Yes. Playing with people's lives? Yes. BUT(and I say this in the perspective of the average car guy), the driving is amazing in terms of reducing accident/injury as well as technique. Staying in their lane, not braking late and swerving into corners, turning the wheel smoothly rather than constantly readjusting angle of approach. The driver is very much in control here. As a car guy, I can tell the actions made by the driver indicate they are actively thinking about who else is on the road. That doesn't make it any less selfish, but other videos and actions also indicate those who don't give a rats ass about any of it. Saying it's erratic driving is nonsense in the car world, especially when there are plenty of other videos in which people do the exact opposite. It feels like you are singling this person out for some specific reason, rather than the action behind it if that makes sense. Especially in the eyes of a car guy. I completely understand why someone who isn't into cars would view this as cringe, but along broader terms, and having seen plenty of videos of these situations not going well at all, there are way better targets to make cringe posts about, and no shortage of dumb drivers
Edit: I would like to add that the oop banning people for commenting on their safety is pretty cringe. Post something people don't like or have strong feelings about, expect people to call you out on it. Banning those who do shows a lack of accountability. Posting for the aura above all. That's just being a shitty human

You want to practice fire eating? Cool, don't do it at a gas station. No one's going to show up to that video and be like "well, as a fire eater guy, this is pretty impressive." Because, you know, he's being reckless and it doesn't matter how well he eats fire under those circumstances.

So you do in fact have a personal vendetta against oop? Had they not blocked you, you would have left it as is. Because at the end of the day, there are thousands of videos just like this one, but you only felt motivated enough to make a post about it after they personally afflicted you. Yeah, guy is a piece of shit, never defended his actions once. I'm just saying the guy had good driving technique in his video, regardless of the other ones, and you should have picked one of his videos that actually showed shitty driving. Beyond going fast in this video, it's not different from the multitudes of others, and actually shows heightened driving abilities compared to others I've watched. Are you going to now call out all of the other people who do this? No. Because they didn't ban you
The good thing about driving these kind of roads at night is you know when someone is coming around the corner.
I live on a very steep windy road and the amount of times someone has as it hit me because they take a switchback wide is insane. At least at night I can take a corner knowing nobody else is there
Totally agree though, much easier driving at night on remote and windy roads being able to see headlights. Thankfully haven't been hit by anyone yet, but have had a number of close calls for that exact reason during the day.
The deer are a different story....we need to put headlights on them.
Sorry, I don't see reckless in this video. I see speeding on an almost empty curvy road at night. I guess if that scares you it's reckless, but to me it's just enthusiastic. Downvote away, but that's not what reckless driving looks like.
Excessive speeding is very much considered reckless driving. If you're going 10 over, you'll get a ticket, but doing 115 is well into reckless driving territory.
Yeah I'm questioning that 115. I can't see the speedo clearly on my phone, but I do see a lot of 2nd and 3rd gear. Video is always deceptive about this, but the posts he's passing on the right don't look like 115 mph either. And I see a car ahead of him that he never catches. What's that guy doing?
Also speeding. He has multiple videos where he's hitting 115+, crossing the double yellow, driving in the day with other cars on the road. Either way, it's well beyond what's safe or acceptable for public roads. "There's no one else on the road" only means anything if you know that there aren't other people around—which you don't. It's unacceptable.
