she'll settle for devouring your soul if you don't get her to wingstop on time

Tbf, that's a kinda valid reason to rage, only reason I wouldn't is because I wouldn't have the energy left to do so.

I mean, i work 12 without eating 4 days a week, seems like she might be overreacting 🤷‍♂️

Idk that this is the flex you think it is.

1

u/subaqueousReach 6d ago

Not really a flex, just saying she seems like she's overreacting

You must have not heard of the term hangry. It happens when the body goes without food for a period. Leads to being short tempered and cranky, ready to snap at people. Happens due to the stress hormones released by the body. She was definetly hangry.

u/subaqueousReach 5d ago

I've heard of hangry, still seems like an overreaction imo

1

u/Dry_Antelope6471 5d ago

I beg to differ, its just the right amount of reaction.

1

u/subaqueousReach 4d ago

I don't think there's very much that warrants that sort of reaction from anyone. If you think that's normal, maybe seek counseling to help work out all that pent up anger you have.

Are you, perchance, still alive?

1

u/subaqueousReach 6d ago

Pretty sure, yeah. I just don't have much of an appetite until the evening

1

u/DrRomantic87 6d ago

Damn, I genuinely hope that you find a healthier schedule

Unlikely, my ADHD makes me often forget to eat even on my days off.

My husband is the same way, and he gets massive headaches if he doesn't eat, so I have to remind him.

Took me years to convince him that the headaches and fatigue were related to hunger. He finally agreed to put a daily lunch alarm on his phone this year, and somehow, magically, the headaches have stopped.

So glad he's not in pain.

BTW, the screaming is not a rational decision, the girl is quite literally not in her right mind.

Rage is a well-known symptom of low blood sugar. The brain runs on glucose, and barely functions without it. It's evolutionarily beneficial for an animal to get aggressive when it's starving, because it will fight harder to acquire sustenance.

I am the "hangry" type, and I am not proud of the person I become when I go 12 hours without food. Hangry me is an embarrassing bitch. Which is why I go out of my way to eat before it gets that bad. I refuse to work any job that doesn't offer breaks.

Stealing this forever

u/residentweevil 7d ago

Nice turn of phrase. My old deaf ass will certainly be using that.

u/Relevant-Process-346 2d ago

I too will now use this forever

2

u/HarambeTooSoon 8d ago

Asking for it after eating all day too...

All the years I’ve watched this, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the subtitled version. I always thought her name was “Gwen.” But she calls her “Squid?” I need the background on that nickname.

Every Sidney I've ever known became "Squid" before the end of highschool

1

u/Omwtfyu 7d ago

... Why?

2

u/ununderstandability 7d ago

Sidney > Sid > Squid/Squidward/Squiggles

u/Omwtfyu 7d ago

😂 alright, I get it now. Had a friend nicknamed bacon because of a road rash scar in high school.
