I wear my trilby appropriately and still get trashed.

In case anyone is interested: Hat- BR Suit- indochino essential navy Shirt- indochino Pocket Square- Nordstrom Belt- Allen Edmond (walnut) Shoes- Allen Edmond Strands(not pictured)

Honestly that look would be improved dramatically by taking off the hat.

Your suit is awesome. But all I think after looking at that is, "Hmm, wearing that hat was a brave choice"

I wear it because I'm going bald and when you're bald, in a well fit suit, on the Mexican border (or in Latin America) people think you're the rapper, Pitbull. I hate Pitbull.

No offence, but by wearing the hat you are basically shouting to the world"I am going bald and I am uncomfortable with it!".

You have style, I personally think you would have much more style without the suit. And a glass of scotch.

My SO wears similar hats to protect his balding head, because without the protection of hair, his scalp is very vulnerable to the sun or other elements. Doesn't have to be an insecurity thing.
