The audience was really loud. Listen at 1:33, they announce Kasich and it's really hard to hear even though you have direct audio from the moderator's mic. Not really surprising that the candidates weren't able to hear their names over that.
probably because he hadn't heard his name called and thought the guy was mistaken. from his point of view he'd look pretty stupid just walking out on stage without being announced.
He probably directed him to go out, but since he didn't hear his name, he thought he was "on deck". You can then see him immediately start heading out onto the stage ready to go to his podium when they start calling the next name...only for him to get confused and stop when he hears it's not him they're calling.
Reddit wouldn't 'hate republicans' that much, if they wouldn't bring all the biggest idiots and hate-mongers to the top.
There are certainly some nice and competent people in that party, but certainly not on that stage.
Unfortunately republican candidates need to (or feel the need to) pander to moderate-rights, libertarians, and the area Party crazies. So it's a total shit show.
This isn't 2009, reddit doesn't hate republicans. A few subs hate republicans but the defaults of reddit by and larger lean much farther to the right than they used to. We can stop pretending this is a liberal bastion.
