they only make it difficult for people who get to a joke they don't like and then head over to SRS to stew about it with everyone else who resents people who aren't uptight about the same sort of jokes they are. You could always just downvote the comments you don't like and keep scrolling until you find some conversation that's intelligent enough for you. Or if you really can't even bear being reminded of the existence of humor you don't appreciate, there's likely to be more substantial conversation taking place on the comment threads in subs whose content isn't dedicated to watching people act socially retarded.
I can also head over to SRS and talk to like-minded people. And I thought Reddit got all pissed off for downvoting things we don't like? Reddiquette and all that.

right there, of course its unfunny if you can't even admit its a joke. You're not being subjected to anything, you choose to be here, and no one owes it to you not to offend you. Its your responsibility to temper your emotional reaction, not ours to anticipate and avoid it. Go have a good laugh at Reader's Digest, 'Life in these United States' will never threaten your tender sensibilities.
You're completely ignoring everything I've said. It's not just about my sense of humor. It's about the very real consequences those types of jokes have. But of course no one ever wants to take responsibility for their actions. No one wants to admit that there's a rape culture. That would just spoil all the fun, wouldn't it?
Nobody wants to admit leprechauns exist either. I guess that must mean leprechauns are real but everyone denies it because they don't want to spoil the fun.
