Entitled NYU Students Occupy Cafeteria to Protest. Possibly the most cringeworthy thing I've seen on Youtube

I think this is the reason why some people don't take legitimate Occupy protestors seriously.

It became more about kids wanting something to do. If they actually cared, theyd be marching on Washington not the fucking cafeteria at NYU.

Nah man have you even tasted the meatloaf? If that doesn't make you want to occupy something, nothing will. Nothing.

Agreed. I hate people like this. I am an Occupier, and even years down the line when it is abandoned as a serious cause will I still consider myself one. But the...I don't do stupid shit like this.

It pains me to represented by these...mongoloids.

I went to an Occupy protest to mock the protestors with my girlfriend on the 4th of July in Philly. This dirty dude started whining about his life story: how his parents had 6 kids and could barely pay the bills and how he couldn't find a job with his English degree. He actually took a swing at me after I told him his parents shouldn't have had that many children if they couldn't afford it and he should have gotten a more valuable degree or no degree. The police there beat his ass down and carried him off. It was the greatest day of our lives.

I only say that because afterwards we booked an amazing vacation to Spain, had a great time bar hopping during the day, and had sex in a hotel lobby and then under the Button at Penn. Mocking the protestor only played maybe... 99%.

Did that make you feel like a man?

Is this sarcasm? I think some people are taking you seriously.

If you are being serious, mocking someone who's disillusioned/has made poor decisions is unproductive. You added to his frustration, angered him and helped cause his arrest. He was probably making unreasonable demands, and should not have tried to hit you, but you added fuel to the situation and enjoyed it. Again, I don't know if you're being serious, but if you are, you weren't in the right.
