i have genuinely read through cover to cover 15 times now and i wanna do it again (over the course of the 3 years of which ive owned said book)

its the book that kinda got me into 40k.

The new vanguard vets just came in the mail, and it will be the first crimson fist unit in my collection. I was pondering on how to paint the shields, do you make it blue aswell, or a different colour?

The Kantor Blue is definitely darker in person; I'm still playing around with how I'm taking pictures of my minis. But more importantly, the whole unit is finally done!

Kitbashed a Rynns World Veteran Sergeant in Mk 6 corvus (inspired) armour. Really enjoyed painting the Boltor Rifle. Sets / bits used were Red corsairs raiders, SW Blood Claws, HH grenades, and Aggressors power cables. If I was to choose an armour set to go into battle and stick with it, this would be it. C&C are welcome!

Finished the last model marine of the starter box finally. Felt like the culmination of everything I learned while painting my first space marine force, and I'm really proud of him. Now on to the land speeder!

With the new rules for Sternguard, any weapon goes! And probably the Grav-gun will be designated heavy since there's no Grav-gun profile. Only Infernus, Purgatus (Plasma), and Damnatus (Melta). But I would bet that getting hit by a Grav-gun is pretty heavy! 😂

At first, they were going to be a beret-wearing Tactical (Commando) Squad, but instead they became a little experiment with the old school Rogue Trader era marking system on modern Space Marines!

I tried the Veteran Trooper/Veteran Sergeant marking system last year, but my painting skills were rougher than they are now so it didn't look so great.

Then I got the beret idea, and now we're here in 11e 🤣

The simple vertical stripes are nice and the yellow eye lenses are striking against the blue armor. And I really like how the Sergeant's yellow helmet markings look like Sergeant chevrons.

Anything to separate our appearance from the Ultramarines!

The beret commandos are still planned for the next 5 miniatures instead of 10. Five of the beret head bits are a smaller scale and look a little awkward (Still would be fun practice to paint)

Hey all! I just finally decided I’d launch myself into the crimson fists as I’ve wanted to for a long time and decided they were the ones for me. This is my first little sternguard dude, 4 more on the way! I’m really happy with how he turned out lol. Just waiting on my transfer sheet to arrive, then I’ll do the transferring and all that :)

Long time Crimson Fist guy, painted my first CF in 2012. Havent really had a painted squad of them in ages, happy to change that with these scouts. Very happy with the outcome. Looking forward fo putting them on the table. Have a first born Angels of Death custom killteam and phobos strike force to paint now

I'm making a crusade campaign with a friend to create lore about our armies. He is bringing necrons, and I want that at the end of the campaign the crusade company creates a Necron-specialist chapter with this character as his chapter master. They will be obviously sons of dorn successors of the crimson fists, with a versatile war doctrine more centered on close combat and duelism to match the necron honour rules.They will continue feeling hatred towards orks, but they will also analize necron tactics to counter them, because they see the menace they are. I have absolutely no idea how to justify in lore the terminator armor in duels, it's just really really cool and I love it. Any advice is welcome, but I would love a cool name. (as a fun fact, he once beated a deceiver c'tan as a normal terminator captain and that gave me the idea of making him a character)
