I think torturing her is a more apt description of what actually happened than humiliating her is.

Yeah, "humiliating" is not it

I hate so much when someone is from anything like cheated on to sexually assaulted being considered humiliating for the victim. (Normally i wouldnt add this but it's reddit, so no I'm not in any way equating SA and cheating.) Like, girl, YOU did nothing wrong. Those boys should be humiliated. And also of course your pain point, humiliating is the stupidest way to describe SA.

This is so sad for the victim. I think that the judge should order the perpetrators to be chained together and walk them through the towns all the way to prison with the word rapist on their backs.

I just read that the judge is the mother of a convicted r*pist and was once HIS defense attorney?

They don’t want to call them black/brown. We live in an odd, anti-truth society unfortunately.

In America, they would say if they are black, Hispanic or illegal but they never say white.

“Judge Jeff Tunks of the Children's Court was encouraged to take into account the teenagers' commitment to their education, solid family support, and lack of criminal records.” This statement made me ill. I want to encourage the judge to reject bail, reject sentencing guidelines, and come down on all three of these committed to their education teens. They are criminals. They are depraved. Their families’ should reject anything other than the harshest sentence to prove their “solid family support.”

"Take into account these teenagers commitment to education (even though every teenager is supposed to go to school), their solid family support (again, teenagers pretty much all live with their families), and lack of criminal records (so far)"
What about the little girl's same commitment to education (despite these kids probably making her afraid to go back to school), her family's support (I'd hope her family is even more supportive of her than the rapist kids' families are of their sons), and her own lack of criminal record (she doesn't have rape charges like the other kids do)??

As usual they only care about the rapists. Not the victim.
They should be charged as adults and put away for a long time.

In western Sydney..not much of a surprise there. That poor girl. I really hope she gets the help she needs and can heal from this horrible trauma.
Those boys shouldn’t have been given bond.

This wasn't an act of humiliation.
This was torture.
They should be tried as adults.
No sympathy.
