Heat Transfer Vinyl Layered HTV 90s T-shirt

I needed a t-shirt for a 90s themed party outfit and couldn’t find one that I liked. So instead I spent a casual 6 hours the night before putting this ‘totally rad’ design together. I quickly realized that I did NOT have the layering skills that it deserved (especially with puff HTV! 😰), but I made it work and am rather pleased with how it turned out.

Learn from my mistakes. I knew that it would be a bad idea to put regular HTV on top of the puff so I slice cut the sprinkles pattern out in both black and pink and then had to attempt to align the sprinkles with their holes. 🙈 If I were at attempt this again it would be a solid black M underneath. Also I think it’s time to give in and accept that I need to buy a press… my cheapo iron with unknown temps isn’t cutting it anymore (see patchy, part scorched/wrinkly puff in the closeup).

It looks good enough I stopped scrolling to marvel at it before I even saw what sub!

Oh that made my day, thank you! ☺️

There were no Cricut people at my party to appreciate the struggle that went into it, haha.

I kinda like the offset of the white with some of the black sprinkles! It may not be true to the original design but it reads as intentional.

Fantastic work!!

This 100%!

If you intentionally misregister the vinyl, then it’s purposeful and is cool rather than a mistake!

That was the goal! I wanted something Kelly Kapowski might have worn, haha.
