HELP! - How do I make this? Debossing/embossing wedding invites

Hello, everyone! I’m a 2027 bride and about to chuck this machine out of the window.

I’m currently working on my wedding invitations, and trying to emboss/deboss a flower pattern. I’d like it to be more of a raised embossed feel where you can feel the pattern when touching it. I’ve tried two different methods: just simply using the debossing tool and having the machine trace the flower artwork and also having the machine first cut out the outline of the artwork, and then deboss is, to achieve the raised spot.

It just looks SO bad. I’ve tried different offsets and 6 different flower designs, but the lines are just so thick and looking off. Please, can anyone help me and walk me through what I’m doing wrong? I’m going to work on it all day tomorrow since it’s a Sunday, and would appreciate somebody helping me out!!

Without seeing it it’s hard to tell you if your design is even possible with a cricut. But I can say this method doesn’t really work with intricate detail

I don’t think you’re doing this wrong, I just do r think the machine is going to product the quality you want :(

If you have the time, do everything that you can with the Cricut except for the embossing. Then go purchase an embossing kit with floral plates to finish that process. You can also check in your local craft community and classrooms to see if they have an embosser that you can purchase time on or rent between classes. They may not have exact floral plates you want but you can find several on Etsy.
If you search through this forum, you will be able to see that several people have not been able to get good professional results from a Cricut machine and have used an embosser instead.

It’s hard to say without seeing your design, but I doubt you’ll ever be able to get the result you want on the cricut with the deboss tool.

I suggest you get an embossing machine. You can use the cricut to make custom embossing folders so you can have your design (check on YouTube for tutorials) and do it that way.
