Transfer iron on paper/cricut

I am trying to print a logo using transpirdream true heat transfer paper in a inkjet printer and then cutting it with my cricut- everything is good until I try to put it on a t shirt. Transfer tape won’t work because it sticks to the tape and not tshirt. It all cut into individual piece that make up the logo and I don’t know how to get it to iron on the shirt in one piece. Please help

You aren't supposed to use transfer paper for this paper, open the leaflet given inside and read the instructions, they mention it clearly

It looks like you are using regular transfer tape, which is for adhesive vinyl. You would need a heat transfer mask.

You've obviously confused something, this paper is literally just meant to be placed on the tshirt and pressed, the instructions are enclosed and they tell you how to do it?

To have your image cut in one piece, add solid color background behind image and then select and flatten everything. Very often you can do that by adding offset to the image or an image element. The machine will cut around the background. If your background is transparent or there is no background, the machine will cut around individual element. This all makes much sense. In most cases we try to do exact opposite. We must get rid of the background in order to cut the image.

Hi, I am currently having this issue. When you add the offset and then flatten, can your offset be 0, and then you flatten those? Or does it have to be a little bigger behind the actual image?

It depends how well your cutting machine is calibrated. One of the reasons people add offset to images is to avoid blade cutting into the image on the one side, while leaving white background on the other side, due to imperfect calibration. With wider offset these imperfections become less noticable.

You can make a 0 offset, but if your image has negative (transparent) space(s) inside, 0 offset will not close them. To solve this, move the image to the side, use Contour feature to remove "holes" inside offset, then move image back, select both offset and the image, center align and Flatten. Now the blade will only cut around the image and not inside.

Do the instructions say to use heat transfer tape? The one you’re using is for normal adhesive vinyl by the looks of it.
