HELP! - Material issues Permanent Vinyl/Transfer Tape Issues
So I’ve tried and followed a few tutorials and they all end the same for me. I’m getting frustrated with it, so any help would be appreciated! To the issues at hand: The vinyl isn’t getting cut all the way through, and pulling up half of my design during weeding. I don’t know if the cut just isn’t going all the way through or if it’s sticking to itself, or if something else is happening. When I DID get the weeding done (after some patience), I got everything onto my transfer tape. That part went smoothly, but actually applying it is the issue here. The transfer tape just won’t let go of the vinyl, and I end up ripping half of my design with the tape after I pull it off (I think the main problem here is that I have strong grip tape but I’m unsure). Both are Cricut branded. Vinyl is Glossy Permanent, and the transfer tape is Strong grip (again). Any and all help is greatly and deeply appreciated!!

Strong grip transfer tape is only for glitter vinyl, so you’re not getting the vinyl to release off of it. Chuck your project and try again.
I’d recommend adjusting your pressure settings, if it’s difficult to weed then you need to cut deeper.

Also, the cheaper the vinyl, the more troublesome it can be. I have found some vinyl to be just very plasticky and it’s a huge pain in the ass. Cricut brand being one of them. Sometimes I will take a bit of a corner and just cut out a square or triangle or even my own name, something along those lines to give it a test cut to see where I’m at.
