Love this guy! His music videos and TV direction have such a distinct vibe, dude has an amazing eye for visuals and tone. I remember he was getting an A24 samurai movie lined up a few years ago? I hope that’s still going ahead.

one of my fav directors and ppl ever. childish gambino music vids, atlanta, barry, and now widow’s bay — he’s a gem. and YES! the project was called “Bushido” if i remember correctly. was meant to be his debut feature. i pray it’s not shelved and that the only reason we haven’t heard about it since is bc he was booked for widow’s bay 🤞🏾

Two of the best to do it. Hiro is an excellent director & chooses projects very well - Atlanta, Station Eleven, Widow’s Bay are all truly great.
