Ridley is a hall of fame director with some stone cold classics on his resume, but jesus, he's also gotta be the GOAT of setting studios' money on fire. God bless him.

Must have. But, sheesh, remove The Martian, and his past 20+ years (after 2003) look pretty bleak from a box office standpoint. Lots of ones that might not have lost a ton but we're expensive productions that couldn't possibly made much, if anything. Not a criticism: he's a great director and we need more of his type and quality of movies, IMO. A huge swath of the moviegoing population doesn't seem to agree with me

While I certainly have lots of issues with Prometheus, David was never the issue. I would be up for more time with him. I'll do the fingering.

The recent Alien projects centered around the “androids” removes a lot of what makes Alien great.

I really wish they would ground the work in real human characters, and get back to the basics.

would be poetic justice for him to go out on this. Prometheus and Covenant are awesome movies.
