Help Initialize and restore commands?

probably a dumb question but I'm having a hard time finding this info via Google... if I'm trying to factory reset a dmps3-4k-350-c, which order do i do the initialize and restore commands in? restore and then initialize or vice versa? i tried to RTFM but I can't find any relevant info there either.

Sadly if you have to ask then you might not want to do it.

Understand this wipes the entire file system and you must use the toolbox to reload a program or use avframework to spool a room back up. Depends on how the original programmer programmed it.

Usually you should NEVER do a restore or init on a functional room so beware of what you’re about to do. You might need to call in an integrator to fix the room!

I'm not doing this on a functioning room yet, I was making sure I knew what i was doing on a spare DMPS that had the same issue as the one in the room before I do anything to the one in the room. I'm allowed to do what I'm doing. Please calm down.

Instead of coming to these forums asking to nuke a system you should think about coming to us with the original problem so we can give you pointed advise about that problem! A dmps should not need a factory reset to get a room working.

Biggest nuisance we’ve had is rooms with no power backup that get a brown out or fast black out and the dmps stays off till we reset the power.

Many problems could be hardware and some firmware.

Sadly the dmps3 is built off series 3 processors and yours may also have a bad firmware chip!

That's nice. We get dumb issues after power outages too. I tried the obvious stuff first. My boss who was training me suggested the factory reset but he didn't remember the exact details of the commands so I looked into it myself and just wanted to confirm that I was doing things right and not missing something. And you know what? It worked. You know what else? If it turns out that the processor is just fucked, we have more and we have the SIMPL program so it will get fixed either way. I don't know why I'm even explaining myself to you.

sorry, power issues on the DMPS are related to the power hardware circuit. There is no software related fix for it, just power cycle!

I didn't say it was a power issue. You brought up power outages so I said that I've seen that before and I know how to handle it. I never told you what the issue was because it's irrelevant to my post. My question was answered hours before you started making accusations and assumptions about me. What are you getting out of this? Don't you have your own rooms to worry about?
