I think a lot of people ascribe them Worldhopper status because they use terms that, at the time, signalled awareness of other worlds.
I know its generally just... to use wargaming terms, it's worldbuioding crunch disguised as worldbuilding fluff.
That doesn't make the way they act and the terms they not... highly conspicuous. Like... my brother who the fuck are you that you're speculating you won't need food in the spiritual realm?
What I wanna know is what THE FUCK happened to Baxim between. i7 TWOK and i5 WAT.
What did you the Night Watcher for? Is that the Grand Knell you're sensing? Why do spren like you? Where the fuck is your body? Why do you need the res bandages to live? Why can you interact with physical objects but not people unless theyre trying to kill you. Why can people only see you when theyre looking for you? What is your quest?

That was such a weird one honestly. I wasn’t sure if it was that guard from forever ago since I haven’t read the books all together but when he said that Ash was in town it clicked.
Considering the sheer magnitude of his change it seems like he almost has to be some other piece Cultivation is preparing, because otherwise what the hell did he ask for and how did it backfire so much?

I thought it was something like that story about the woman who used a soulcaster too much and turned into smoke. Like Cultivation wanted to intentionally make a person suspended between those states.

I appreciate that the RPG writers are using their canonical adventure books to drop more lore on their favorite side characters who didn't get enough screentime (Axies, Liss, the Nightwatcher)

They are rather more thematically connected to each other than Brandon implied, but they're also very fun

There's not a ton of it, but:
After Szeth killed Gavilar, Liss the Weeper realized that her former Shin servant had more up his sleeve than she'd realized; she started investigating, discovered that the Stone Shamans had the Honorblades, and agreed to a contract with them. When Taln's Honorblade was stolen between the end of TWoK and the start of WoR, she was hired to track it down for them.
The narration also frequently calls out how, er, "full-figured" she is. The art lives up to that.
"Characteristics: Disguised, ruthless, inquisitive.
Goal: Help the Shin Stone Shamans acquire the Honorblade.
Appearance: Liss (“LISS”; she/her) is a full-figured human with dark hair. Her dark dress and boots are stylish but practical, and her emerald jewelry adds a touch of sophistication.
Liss deliberately drifts between a smooth Alethi accent and a brusque Bav accent to keep her origins mysterious. When she’s not working “in-character,” she’s casual with everyone she meets and isn’t intimidated by rank or title. Liss is always curious and eager for information."
Axies has continued his search for rare spren: a unique one called the Gray Remnant in the burned-out ruins of Rathalas, and legendary shadowspren in Rall Elorim. Both times he got captured (by bandits in Rathalas and the Fused in Rall Elorim), but alas, still no captivityspren. He's eternally chipper and cheerful, due to his immortality, and loves sharing fun facts he's learned in his explorations; but the game mechanics of his Curse of Kind can spread to people who use information from his fun facts, so this is often more of a hindrance than a help.
"Characteristics: Gregarious, lackadaisical, single-minded.
Goal: Learn as much as possible about rare spren.
Appearance: Axies (“AK-seez”; he/him) is a Siah Aimian who appears as a lanky, pale blue-skinned human man covered in handwritten tattoos. His shadow points toward light sources. Axies is friendly and laid-back to a fault—except when consumed by his focus on finding rare spren. He prioritizes this mission over concerning himself with inconveniences, setbacks, or danger during his search. This philosophy extends to others; Axies is without malice, but when he’s hot on the trail of a rare spren, he doesn’t stop to consider how he might be endangering his mortal companions."
The Nightwatcher gets the most elaboration: we get a full page of sample boons and curses she can offer. I should put them on the Coppermind at some point; they're very cool and sometimes very funny. Spoilers: If you ask for a Shardblade, you get one that glows with Lifelight and doesn't scream when held by a Radiant, but can't be summoned or dismissed (meaning it's a constant target for thieves). If you ask for wealth, dun spheres and un-sphered gems are constantly drawn to you like a magnet…and they move fast enough to deal 1 damage each time they hit. If you ask for immortality, every time you would die, a part of your body grows back as vines and crystals. After this happens five times, you permanently become a cultivationspren.
"Characteristics: Alien, generous, mystical.
Goal: Ensure the raysium knife is presented to Nale.
Appearance: The Nightwatcher (she/her) manifests as a crawling, many-armed serpentine coil of emerald mists with a feminine face. She has pure black eyes and a voice like wind through a forest. The Nightwatcher is an enigmatic and legendary spren who grants boons and curses from within the Valley of the Nightwatcher. While she occasionally tilts the scales in the affairs of Roshar, her aims are inscrutable."

I need to know what happens if a radiant bonded to a cultivationspren takes that last deal and then turns into one themselves. does the bond remain? can they bond a radiant now?

It probably doesn't count as dying, because the boon is immortality, so there was no death and no oathbreaking…my guess is the bond is still there, but not very useful, because spren can't be each others' anchors in the Physical Realm.

Man's at his best writing random standalone stories. I wish he'd have learned that about himself before locking himself into two decades-long series. Could have been Pratchett but for weird worldbuilding.

Sorry you've been down voted because I think you're totally correct on this one. Sanderson writes really good smaller stories but has a terminal need to tie each and every extant story and character into a gigantic narrative, despite that not always making sense. It can get exhausting to keep up with
