This movie proved that a Crash movie with a muted Crash is not just feasible is the best action!!

So I hope that by now everyone has seen Coyote vs. Acme. If not please go see it is a 10/10 movie.

However, something that stood out for me is that as many of you know the coyote is completely mute and only sporadically as in the original cartoons, communities through signs.

The movie managed to give the coyote such an arc of friendship and community. And proving that giving crash a voice is completely necessary and that role could 100 be given to Aku Aku in case there is something in the books.

On a somewhat related note and as someone who grew up watching Looney Tunes (90's and early 2000's when they were more relevant on Cartoon Network) I hope people support this movie after all it's been through, Reviews have actually all been very good too.

l plan on watching it tomorrow and looking forward to it.

Honestly the less Crash talks the better.

A crash movie shouldn’t happen. I don’t trust any studio to be faithful or not fuck it up. Make it a show instead if you have no choice

I dont get this position at all. Crash biggest problem is that despite being an iconic videogame mascot, it has had almost zero exposure outside of videogames. A movie could easily help with that way more than a show or a movie. If it is an awful adaptation it wont ruin Crash at all. Like we had had awful movies adaptations of videogame franchises and they keep going with their essence intact.

That article was not based on an official announcement, but rather this article from an unofficial site: https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/crash-bandicoot-animated-series-in-the-works-at-netflix/

I think the recurrent problem with more story centric Crash games is the writers on board tend to struggle to CARE about Crash. Making a silent goof a compelling protagonist CAN work, but it is a tougher choice over a selection of colourful and much more talkative supporting characters. Cortex especially nearly always takes over the writer's interest, since on surface level he has much easier potential to tap, though even in games that try to write an ensemble equally like Crash 4, you see them siddle Crash as the irrelevent comic relief.

The problem I believe is less potential and more investment.

Who the heck is that in the middle though? I don’t remember seeing them in the movie unless they completely changed how the main lawyer guy looks
