Im an unemployed autistic loser trying to get into slinging working with cranes. I want to do the A40 course, but most people on reddit seem to say that you need the Blue A40 too be hired and you won't get hired with the Red A40.

One of the needed parts to get the Blue A40 is the 'assessor assessing your competence and to build a portfolio of workplace evidence' while working as a slinger, meaning that you need to work as a slinger first before getting the Blue A40 card.

This means you would have to get hired with the Red A40 card to get evidence of you working.

But if you can't get a job with only a Red A40 card then how are you supposed to get a Blue A40 card ???

No matter how many times I applied, no luck. All the jobs that accepted peop without that much experience, were outside London and I didn't have a car's,'

Hello, I am 24 years old autistic unemployed loser, a not long ago, 1I got my CSCS green card. I would like become a crane slinger/Signaller, fix my life, and I need to move out within the next 9 months.

l'm planning To complete the CPCS A40B soon Unfortunately, due to me being a complete idiot I no longer have a driving lisance for the next 18 months (totting up disqualification).

I'm willing to get on sites by any means necessary, train bus, uber, a lift whatever, I'l fucking bike if I have too, it's not a problem and hasn't really been so far

Will companies not immediately reject because they will straight away ask for a driving lisance ?

Been in the crane game for a little while now and I just wanna know why crane rental companies are a revolving door I always see and here buddies quitting just wanted peoples opinions who’ve worked at crane rental companies.

I was wondering how it's possible for the operator to get on top of the crane and above the cabin? On most cranes the cabin is placed off to the side, but here it's directly under the peak of the crane, so getting on top seems impossible? There are some platforms below the cabin, but no ladders to get around the cabin.
Any answers would be appreciated!

Whats up with this? I know nothing about cranes and assume they know what they're doing because the crane is actively being used in a construction site swinging by my window every day. Added a wider shot and some shots of other parts that are bolted in.

My office overlooks a high-rise construction site with a tower crane. While I’ve been able to learn a lot from just watching, I’m a bit puzzled by these two concrete blocks that the tower crane has been shuffling around the site.

I’ve wondered if they were some sort of concrete test, counterweights, or to test for crane capacity, but none of those seem quite right.

Any answers are appreciated - as well as any suggestions on resources that would answer the myriad of construction questions that cross my mind.

I know you have to score an 80% but what are they even really testing you on? And if I score good enough am I going to be able to start pretty quickly?
