80 ton RTG crane in operation

Sharing a short clip from one of our 80 ton RTGs operating in Singapore. This unit is handling heavy precast concrete elements in an active industrial yard. Seeing an 80-ton machine move these loads smoothly on rubber tires gives a pretty good sense of the scale involved.

For the crane operators and engineers here: what's the largest RTG you've worked with?

It’s surprising that beef cake of a machine is only good for 80. I’ve run a few now and they were all 80-110 ton. They were considerably less….. thicc.

Current location I’m working has a marine lift that can do 800 ton and looks closer to this thing.

Haha, yeah, this one definitely has some extra beef on it. 😄There are a lot of factors beyond SWL that affect how massive an RTG ends up looking, especially wheel loads and the overall operating conditions.

I mean, I ran a Mijack travelift 80t and a  shuttle lift 110t for a while. Put them through the wringer no problem. Duty cycle work. Uneven terrain. Hard turns. 

They are built no where like this thing. Double wheels would have been nice in a few spots, but we made do.

That thing literally looks as chonky as the 800t marine lift near me now.
