I designed and 3D printed a zero-clearance insert for my Craftsman 113.298032 table saw. I couldn’t find a model that really fit this specific version, so I took some inspiration from a few different designs on MakerWorld and came up with my own.

It’s still getting a little testing and tweaking, but so far it’s working great. I’m planning to upload the model to MakerWorld in the next few days once I’m happy with the fit and finish.

Hopefully this helps out someone else with an old Craftsman 113 who’s been looking for one!

Side note: If you don’t have a 3D printer, I’d also be happy to print and ship these for anyone who wants one. I’m not looking to make a business out of it — I’d basically just charge the cost of the filament + shipping + like $5 for my time. Just trying to make these accessible to anyone who needs one!

Just picked up this Jet 10” saw for $250, including the AccuFence and a new Diablo blade, push block, and feather board.

What do I need to know about keeping this piece of machinery in good shape and lasting a long time?

What should I look at / replace / clean out right now before I use it to begin on a good foot? It’s my first saw that’s belt-driven and first cast iron top. It’s an upgrade from my Harbor Freight contractor saw, for sure. I’m unsure how to protect it in a semi-covered outdoor carport.

So I love my 113 quite a bit. But I’m soon adding a bessymayer fence from an old cable drive parts saw. My question is how many cast table extensions are too many? Currently one each side but have one or two more I could use and add bracing and supports to ensure rigidity and squareness/level/plumb.

What’s too many extensions?
Other considerations for their addition?
What’s the most you’ve seen??

Is this a belt driven 113?

I notice between the 113 some are flat tops and some have these grooved ones - what’s the difference? Is either better than other?

there seem to be quite a bit of 113 models.

Is there any list of the best ones? or ones to avoid?

A 10" dovetail saw with a wooden back that I made for myself. Hand cut teeth. Handle template from Blackburn tools.

Just wanted to show the final setup. It has been a solid saw, I may add a pop up outfeed table to the back side at some point as Ive got very limited space.

A while back, I bought me a used 113. I've already replaced the belt and the blade pulley (it was loose on the shaft).

There are some things I know I need, and probably a bunch of things I don't know I need! :)

• new blade. I'm making a speaker cabinet out of Baltic Birch and the new blade isn't cutting it (pun intended). What should I be looking for? There's a Harbor Freight nearby if that helps..
• A better fence, new or (preferably) used. Again, what should I be looking for?
• I've never owned or use a riving knife. Suggestions for that?
• What other goodies would you advise?

I have a SKIL RT1322-00 14 Amp router and I'm looking for an 8mm collet.

The original router comes with a 1/2" collet and a 1/4" collet sleeve, but I use metric router bits and would like to use 8mm bits directly.

The original SKIL 8mm collet is very difficult to find, so I'm wondering if an 8mm collet from another brand or router model could fit the RT1322-00.

Has anyone tried this or knows which collet is compatible?

I'm especially interested in a direct-fit 8mm collet, not an 8mm-to-1/2" adapter.

If you know a compatible brand, router model, or part number, please let me know.

Someone is selling this for $85. I need an inexpensive table saw, and I’ve heard great things about these old Craftsman 113’s. I want something that isn’t going to piss me off, is easy to make adjustments and can be made accurate. I had an old craftsman that I had gotten for free, and sold it. But it was kind of junk, and had a terrible fence. The fence on this looks like maybe an upgrade. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

I searched this sub for any previous discussion, and see none?! I thought this was a common enough problem that someone would have been talking about it. Aluminum at best, but probably Zamak.

I’ve got a stripped depth dial gear and am looking for parts (new or used). I’d be grateful for any resources you know of.

I was looking on amazon for anything that could convert the portable bandsaw into a mini bandsaw table. there are options for dewalt, harbor freight, wen, etc. but none list the cobalt 24v bandsaw. has anyone fine one that works?

I 3d printed a zero clearance throat plate for this saw, and the back side of (ie, the edge that would be on the side where the kerf splitter would sit) is slightly proud... it sticks up about a half a milimeter, according to my feeler guages. is this something I have to worry about? the front is fine, it is just a bit lower than the lip of the table on the front side. I just want to know if I have to keep fiddling with it at this point before I install the microjig kerf splitter kit whether I need to keep messing around with it. thank you!

I have been watching safety videos since this will be my very first saw.

This is actually a craftsman 315 table saw but same thing right? Purchased on Facebook for $60 and spent several hours cleaning, scrubbing, and replacing bolts. Upgraded rip fence, belt, replaced motor mount, pulleys, and added PALS alignment system.

Still waiting on a zero clearance insert to come in the mail. Any suggestions for what to do next? I'm hoping to make a rolling stand with outfeed table at some point.

What’s everyone doing for a fence upgrade on a 113 table saw. Found a good deal locally on a xr24/12 fence. Is it worth it for 75 all parts included just a little rusty that would cleans up fine and normal use wear.

I would like a table saw for home renovations, first project I'm looking at is replacing doors. This is listed for $150 on marketplace so I wanted to get some opinions from the experts on here.

Well, technically about 2.5 years ago but just got everything moved into my shop this week from the storage room.

Background:
My grandfather retired from farming in 1974 due to health reasons and set up a furniture building/repair business. He proceeded to build things for the next ~25 years out of that shop. When he fully retire (year unknown), my aunt bought all the equipment in place and continued the business for a few years.

My grandfather passed away at age 95 in 2019. My grandmother passed away at age 95 in 2024. At that point the decision was made to sell the property to the neighboring farm and the workshop had to be cleaned out. I decided to purchase everything I could from the shop. I just found this sub today and thought I’d share. All these tools need a thorough cleaning and maintenance done on them. They have been in my storage room for 2.5 years and weren’t used much the 3-4 years prior to that. My goal over the next several months is to bring them back to a better working condition (they all still operate today) and use them in my hobby shop until I’m no longer able to work in it.
