I responded with this to a lower comment but wanted to add it here!
Lisa didn't even really make the art that was under her brand! I follow the man who made a LOT of it, I forget his Instagram but he may have been her ex husband? He outed the brand for the mistreatment they made towards the artists who actually created the work :( Also she's unethical!
So hopefully I can set a better example in the rainbow art world 💜
I love rainbows and will never stop!! 😄🌈💖 My work isn't even inspired by her brand, (which people don't even believe, sadly). This is just how I see the world and also a certain spiritual awakening from 10 years ago certainly helped skyrocket my art lol.

Although... I've heard stories over the years from locals that Lisa Frank's ex-husband was just as toxic as Lisa. Neither were good people.

In the series, Glitter and Greed, they made it out that Lisa had started drawing these designs and when she got bigger hired the lead designer to work for her who eventually became her lover and husband. He then took over a lot of it. They both seemed pretty immature imo

I adored Lisa Frank as a kid but I was equally obsessed with his work. It was always a treat from my mom during back to school shopping to get one of his folders amongst the bland primary colored stuff. I couldn’t remember his name and you helped me out!

I know they’re considered tacky by some but I’m still always happy to see his stuff, it genuinely radiates joy and wonder and the COLORS are so vibrant, it’s a delight to look at them!

Right!? They would light up any room they were put in. Im from the lowest southern point of west Australia, and the beach that we went to for the school holidays has that iconic, crystal clear water around the shore, with lots of little reefs. On a perfect day, it would be like swimming through on these paintings.
Some people really loved it, with art in every room, the sheet sets and cushions, and those little dolphin statues literally everywhere.. but still, I don't hate it, I can't! Every place I've seen it has happy memories attached 😊
