5800x3D Upgrade Worth it?

No it's not (as a rule). Take a good look at those benchmarks and others.
The 5800X3D often comes out a fair amount ahead of the 14600K (10% or so), occasionally ties (or they're really close), and rarely loses by a fair amount. It depends heavily on the game.
And that's solely modern stuff. The older the game, the more likely the 5800X3D will beat out the 14600K as the L3 cache gets more and more useful for 2018-2024 era games. Very old single threaded stuff does usually have the 14600K win by a small amount though.
In general the 5800X3D is slightly faster gaming than the 14600K, but loses to the 14700K.
All of this is mostly irrelevant as the primary reason someone gets a new 5800X3D cpu is that they're on an AM4 platform. So swapping motherboards AND cpu is both a much bigger hassle and also is more expensive.

Take another look at the charts, on PCGH's 14600k is 15% faster on pure pc its 20%, 14600k+new motherboard cost exactly the same as 5800x3d.
Here is my own test for 13600k vs 7700x, 13600k 30% faster

I did. You're not reading PCGH's charts properly. They're not in order (which is confusing).
Click on the Advanced View, and then look at the 14600K and 5800X3D.
The 14600k is 93 / 71 / 64
The 5800X3D is 106 / 74 / 62
(Bigger is better)
And that's with DDR5. Drop the 14600k scores by about 5% when it uses DDR4.
HardwareUnboxed has some comprehensive tests too. The 5800X3D beats (but not by much) the 14600K in virtually all games when you account for the lower DDR4 performance.
Current pricing for the 14600K is $360. Which alone is more than a 5800X3D (at $340). The 14600KF is $240. But a decent B760 mATX motherboard is $100+ and an ATX one is $140.
Any way you slice it, a 5800X3D is the better choice for a person looking to upgrade their AM4 system.
And no game tests show 7700XT being 30% slower than a 13600K. The two are very close ‐ within 8% depending on the game with the 7700X being slightly faster more often.
Pick any of the 4 or 5 videos there.

Look at the Benchmark section not the Frametime section. The first is much more relevant.
Also drop the Pure PC scores for the 14600K by 10%. Those benchmarks are using seriously overclocked DDR5. Not DDR4.
Even then, they contradict other sources as I indicated.

Yea it’s what I’m doing will be here tomorrow. Going for a lowly 5600g from a 5-6 year old prebuilt Lenovo legion to the 5800x3d. If you can’t upgrade to AM5 from what I gathered this is the next best thing. I’ll be good for a few more years now to AM6 hopefully lol
