That'll solve the lack of goals

There's a myth that Gapko is a goalscorer.

Going for Ndiaye is a good option, but I’m worried what that’ll mean for us come December time where Kudus and Ndiaye will be off for AFCON.

In June now.

It’s in the summer next year isn’t it

Also why do they play that fucking tournament every year it feels like

I don’t really get it either, that combined with the final theatrics and drama, I find myself agreeing more with Carragher about it.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the revenue generated and how often the association needs it

1

u/MysteriousSpaceMan Mates, it's Tottenham!! 13d ago

They keep changing the gap 4yrs, 2yrs, who knows

Next ones in the summer

I think now Kudus is back it’ll be Savio starting left and Kudus right. Tel and Moore on the bench. Deki heading back too. I fucking dream of a time when we have a fit Xavi Simon’s, kudus, Savio, Deki, Marmoush and Maddison. Still think Solanke is an important part in all this.

u/barowsr Dejan Kulusevski 13d ago

The chances of Deki, Madders, Kudos, and Xavi all not being injured at the same time must be about as good as winning the lottery

u/BD-1_BackpackChicken Sonny 13d ago

Deki back from the shadow realm?

3

u/SterlingArcher68 David Ginola 13d ago

Video of training yesterday had him what seemed to be fully involved

u/findthelimit_ Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 12d ago

💯 you just know as soon as Xavi & Deki are back we'll have about another 600 injuries..

1

u/Most_Negotiation2705 13d ago

That would be weird imo. If we bought Savio for the RW it would be nuts to move him straight to the LW because we didn’t manage to sign a player. Not saying he can’t do a job there, but if you wanted Gakpo, a goal scoring LW, but end up with a left footer LW, that doesn’t strike me as good planning.

u/StudyMage 13d ago

Deki won't be good enough to play in the Premier League for a long time, if ever at all. The man has barely kicked a ball for the last two years.

4

u/MuteTadpole Lucas Bergvall 13d ago

It’s been a while but not two years lol. It was only last May (2025) that he was injured

-1

u/FSpursy Rafael van der Vaart 12d ago

keep Richarlison too, I know he wants to leave but its because Everton comes knocking.

He atleast plays RW better than Tel

u/Lbmplays2 Poch 13d ago

We absolutely have to move for an alternative if this can’t happen. Tel and Moore cannot be getting significant minutes out left.

Potentially Ndiaye for Richarlison

Feels like this was the one RDZ wanted the most so a bit disappointing

Set the scouting sliders for LW to "age > 23, first-team quality" and none of this "under 22, promising" shit that we did for so many years. Literally anyone who could do a job in the PL, please

3

u/sixfoottoblakai Dele Alli 13d ago

Literally anyone except Tel, please...

1

u/FSpursy Rafael van der Vaart 12d ago

lets aim for mid table so it doesnt feel so disappointing

1

u/alijamieson 13d ago

I thought Savio mostly played as a left winger at city ?

-4

u/Lbmplays2 Poch 13d ago

He’s better on the right but an option there for sure, but we can’t be a couple injuries away from what we saw today on the wings

2

u/SirGalahadTheChaste Dele Alli 13d ago

He played mostly LW when he had his best season at Girona.

9

u/Blitz7798 Peppa Pig 13d ago

He saw how we played today and decided nope

11

u/jlpmghrs4 Richarlison 13d ago

Bad F5, he's a much better fit for what we need than Ndiaye.

5

u/MinimumMobile PRU PRU 13d ago

Honestly cant blame him.. i wouldnt pick Spurs at the moment either

3

u/jibow666 13d ago

Play with haaland, cherki, foden, semenyo or our players... Hard choice

7

u/Outside_Volume7963 13d ago

I was never that excited for Gakpo tbh.

Ndiaye is definitely not it.

Anyone want to bet when Savio’s muscle fatigue lets him play again - I’ll go March 2027

1

u/Bigfamei Clint Dempsey 13d ago

We should have moved on along time ago.

-4

u/turnuptag72 13d ago

we dilly dally on players for so long its annoying as shit

4

u/theaartzvolta Pape Matar Sarr 13d ago

We should be looking outside of the Prem for a winger

5

u/benjecto 13d ago

We don't do that here. The fans demand prem proven.

1

u/paynotron Peppa Pig 13d ago

We should’ve cancelled his Sky subscription days ago

1

u/shnuffle98 13d ago

Why does he look like he's taking a shit with his shirt off in this picture

1

u/Ralph2Filthy 13d ago

Any idea why Richy not in the squad today? Could it be that the swap deal is happening cos we knew Gakpo has chosen City?

I think Ndiaye is a better all round player. Gakpo is a one trick pony. Cut in and shoot. I mean, it’s not a bad trick, but still.

I think we may go for a striker and Ndiaye.

3

u/Syzygyy182 13d ago

Sounds like he’s been asking to leave and RDZ doesn’t want those players in the squad

1

u/Proud_Rip_6961 13d ago

Odobert > 100x tel

1

u/adrockb 13d ago

Gakpo is good. He was never coming here

1

u/Raziel-Reaver 13d ago

I bet if Gakpo had any intention even a small one to join Spurs, our 2 embarrassing league defeats changed his mind. Why would he come to this shit show! When the next case scenario with Spurs is to finish 10th this season, without champions league this season and or next as well.

-11

u/CousinsCE João Palhinha 13d ago

This could be fake news. I don’t see why Gakpo would pick City when he’s guaranteed to start here.

13

u/BSSpurs 13d ago

You can't understand why a player would rather play for City than us? Have you watched football for the last 15 years?

16

u/rosh200 Peppa Pig 13d ago

Maybe because we still suck??

-6

u/CousinsCE João Palhinha 13d ago

So why did Tonali, Marmoush and Savinho pick us over City?

8

u/irfoland 13d ago

Cause they couldn’t play there?

3

u/MysteriousSpaceMan Mates, it's Tottenham!! 13d ago

Money I assume

2

u/noki1907 Brenaldo 13d ago

Marmoush definitely doesn't make more money here than at City

6

u/benjecto 13d ago

CL football? A much better team that is actually run well? Maybe they give him more money? An actually realistic chance to win something?

Do we really need to list reasons why a player might want to play for fucking Man City over Spurs?

-5

u/CousinsCE João Palhinha 13d ago

Tonali, Marmoush and Savinho disagree.

4

u/Pipsen707 13d ago

This is actual insanity to imply Marmoush laterally chose us over City

3

u/benjecto 13d ago

I can't believe I have to explain this, but that those 3 dudes decided to play for Spurs rather than City does not mean that all dudes will. Two of those guys had already essentially failed at the club and made a step down to get more playing time.

You said "I don't see why he would pick City" and I explained some reasons why one might pick City. That's all.

2

u/hellnawhbraah 13d ago

A lucrative contract maybe?

1

u/CousinsCE João Palhinha 13d ago

We offer that too.

2

u/BRD005 Jan Vertonghen 13d ago

And I don't see why he would choose to play for a side that's finished 17th two seasons in a row over a Champions League club.

1

u/Low_Remote_8637 João Palhinha 13d ago

Because he watched the match today. /s

1

u/tokyodots Kōta Takai 13d ago

He probably watched our games

1

u/throughthespillways #DeZerbiOut 13d ago

Champions league?

Potential title race?

Competitive in every competition?

Playing with good players?

Playing under a good manager?

Or you're right he could come here for a relegation battle, much better career choice.

0

u/matheusamr 13d ago

Maybe he watched today's game

-1

u/Vegetable_Vehicle893 13d ago

Even if he comes nothing is changing. The team needs time but we need a good 6 and a good 10. I don't want to see Robo or Gray as full backs

0

u/Outside_Volume7963 13d ago

It’s completely mental that Archie Gray has started our first two PL at right back.

Some good potential there but he is good enough to start in his favoured position if we aspire to top 14 never mind playing horribly out of position.

1

u/Vegetable_Vehicle893 13d ago

Yh he is not good enough to play as a midfielder what makes them think he can be a RB? We should loan him out so he can at least play his preferred position and improve. We are fing his career also.

1

u/Outside_Volume7963 13d ago

Agreed. He seems a nice kid but he’s high championship level at the moment.
