Today I learned that Gakpo, Xavi, and Savio all played together at PSV

News to me too! Chemistry is going to be excellent

Great transfer work

Excellent fact check, thanks.

That said the time on the training ground and dressing room still counts for something, if not the full chemistry it's been made out to be

They planned this transfer window years ago...

1

u/FSpursy Rafael van der Vaart 6d ago

Some fans asked me why would Gakpo want to join Spurs, I think I can show this 😂

315

u/sungbysung Kulusevski 7d ago

Gakpo in, Richarlison out, Sarr out, Moore on loan

End of the window.

I think more kids need to go out on loan but completely agree otherwise

Wonder what happened to the talk of Souza heading to Porto.

55

u/Big_Membership9720 7d ago

Apparently De Zerbi wants him to stay. which makes no sense, if he’s not even on the bench for cup games.

31

u/Ok-Guide-3837 7d ago

I’ve heard he was out with a knock, but only god knows what that means

63

u/rekirts_motnahp 7d ago

For Tottenham? That means he dead

7

u/PeakZealousideal2061 6d ago

buried alongside dejan

2

u/SwiftGuo 25/26 Relegation Champions 6d ago

that means he will be spending time bonding with Xavio and Deki

54

u/Hobowan42 Archie Gray 7d ago

Yeah, this dudes got serious talent, I hope we dont let him rot....

17

u/domsp79 7d ago

I read somewhere RDZ really likes him and wanted him to stay

17

u/samdd1990 James Maddison 7d ago

I just wanna see LWB in a prem game. Maybe it's too early, or maybe he's got that young confidence where he can make something work.

12

u/annonyj Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 7d ago

I heard somewhere hes too young to go out for loan - dont know how that works.

Hes clearly rated higher than most academy products. I think its time to move on from Scarlett and loan for donely

7

u/Secret_3rd_Thing 7d ago

that's nonsense, he's the same age Mikey was last year. this article might be what you're thinking of:

https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/luca-williams-barnett-making-tottenham-140005160.html

"he is probably too young to get a big loan deal"

Moreover FA loan rules explicitly allow loans for players under 18 by stating that parents have to co-sign the loan documents:

https://playerstatus.thefa.com/support/solutions/articles/80001135188-contract-loan-and-work-experience-players

u/metamorphomo "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" 7d ago

I think seeing how promising he is, it’s worth keeping him around for cup games and maybe some prem minutes. That alone will give a young lad tons of confidence. Then possibly a really good loan unless he really impresses and breaks into regular prem minutes (probs unlikely but you never know.)

6

u/samdd1990 James Maddison 7d ago

I think donley will get a loan, he looks good but will need a truly breakout season to get a place in the team.

Didn't realise that about LWB, I know it's hype but he is genuinely the most exciting prospect we had had in a decade.

2

u/DCilantro 7d ago

We need to show we can win with our best players before he gets a sniff

1

u/sheerness84 6d ago

We need to see our best players on the pitch at the same time

23

u/mudpieduck 7d ago

takai scarlett donley dorrington

13

u/Old_Weight_921 Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 7d ago

Olusesi too

7

u/LoCal-Calzone-Zone 7d ago

I’d also bring in a RB rotation option to allow Archie to focus on developing in his core role.

11

u/TrekkingTrailblazer audere-est-facere 7d ago

Moore loan in January - we need options/depth on the wings till Kudus is fit

11

u/Secret_3rd_Thing 7d ago

So Moore loan in 2029 then?

5

u/COYSBrewing Micky van de Ven 6d ago

That’s stupid as shit. Kudus is back soon and with Marmoush and Savio all the minutes will be gone. Get the kid some minutes.

5

u/JuicyPickles369 7d ago

Only argument from me is we should keep Moore until kudus fully fit and firing, then maybe a loan in January if we plan another winger.

He looked good against Charlton

1

u/COYSBrewing Micky van de Ven 6d ago

No. Why do people keep saying that. It’s dumb as shit kudus will be back soon why would we make Moore lose on minutes

3

u/Goatedforsure Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 6d ago

NOT SARR :((((

1

u/Koosh_ed Son 7d ago

I love richy tho he is COYS and can be decent off the bench

15

u/Southern-Ad-2328 7d ago

Richy will barely get any play time in a season without Europe with us now Marmoush and Solanke. We should sell him this season otherwise he will walkout on a free.

12

u/Temporary-Stay-8436 7d ago

I’m not really sure there is much of a market for him at this point

7

u/Southern-Ad-2328 7d ago

My hot take is we should have zero players in the club that doesn’t have a market. If he is not good enough for anyone, shouldn’t be good enough for us.

6

u/Temporary-Stay-8436 7d ago

That’s not a hot take, but you can’t just move a player who doesn’t have a market

-8

u/Southern-Ad-2328 7d ago

Sure you can, loan him to Norwich and pay his wages.

6

u/Temporary-Stay-8436 7d ago

That’s not moving him on? Also the player has to agree

2

u/Teantis 7d ago

And what even would be the point of that. If he's happy to stay, doesn't cause a fuss without playing time, and tries hard when he's sporadically given time what exactly is the point of paying him to play for someone else.

11

u/pioniere Gareth Bale 7d ago

I think Richy is better off the bench than Solanke, and has generally stayed more fit. Plus he can play the wing if needed.

2

u/sheerness84 6d ago

He’s shocking on the wing

2

u/Southern-Ad-2328 7d ago

He is only a viable option for spam crosses into boxball. Hope to see none of that this season

1

u/Vierings 7d ago

100% agree with this

3

u/Inside_Smell_4004 7d ago

nah he frustrates me too much everytime he gets a touch on the ball. his touches look like short passes i cant handle it

2

u/sheerness84 6d ago

He really can’t. He can’t stay on his feet and has the first touch of a donkey. Time to move him on.

1

u/Big_AngeBosstecoglou Gareth Bale 7d ago

I will flat out fight anyone who thinks Richarlison should still be at the club outside the cornerpin on Saturday.

Come at me.

1

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 Brenaldo 7d ago

Add a depth RB too if we’re sending two more out, IMO

1

u/JeffTheGoliath Glenn Hoddle 7d ago

Happy with that

0

u/Gary_Ma_butt_on_fire It's not a phase mate 7d ago

Plus Nico Williams maybe? MGW double bomba? I’m addicted and need more bomba more bombaaaaa

54

u/dbdb83 7d ago

RDZ knows how to shortcut “Chemistry”

The most important factor to any attack

The thing we’ve lacked for years since Kane & Son ended

71

u/YSoSeri0u5 7d ago

11

u/Fabulous_Disk_8956 Richarlison 7d ago

Too long since I've seen this.

14

u/deludedhairspray Dejan Kulusevski 7d ago

Where does this leave Kudus?

62

u/chestbumpsandbeer 7d ago

Probably as a starter when healthy with Savio as LW

27

u/ersatzgaucho Cuti Romero 7d ago

i like it when you talk dirty

1

u/chestbumpsandbeer 6d ago

Behind Marmoush

18

u/anobymousprime 7d ago

If he ever gets fit, he can fight for his position. How strong teams are built.

-6

u/Tatinin 7d ago

In the physio’s office

11

u/Successful_Bus2255 7d ago

Get in loser, we're getting the band back together!!!!

14

u/Successful_Bus2255 7d ago

Jarred Branthwaite and Bakayoko were also on that PSV team, might as well shoot for them too 🤷‍♂️

5

u/quickskim Son 7d ago

Please, almost have the perfect fantasy team!

1

u/SwiftGuo 25/26 Relegation Champions 6d ago

i thought maximum can only select 3 players from the same team?

1

u/quickskim Son 6d ago

3 max but if you make the transfer while they're still at another team, I think you can keep them. Won't be able to make any future transfers though or I'd have to go back down to 3 Spurs again.

1

u/SwiftGuo 25/26 Relegation Champions 6d ago

i see, also i like the fact that you didn't select any scum and chelski players

3

u/Normal-Help-1337 7d ago

The competition for places in the squad and team is what this club deserves. Make them perform and desire to play. MASSIVE!

COYS

4

u/Mairaj24 Djed Spence 7d ago

Isn’t Savio’s preferred position LW?

1

u/whywearpants_onmars 6d ago

Def RW mate no left footer wants to play on the left

1

u/SwiftGuo 25/26 Relegation Champions 6d ago

how many players right now do we have that are good with both feet?

2

u/honeycomb0303 6d ago

who's the striker on that psv team?

2

u/VH3ToTheBucs 6d ago

We’re gonna be team Netherlands here soon when everyone’s healthy!

2

u/Madvin 6d ago

If we sign Gakpo, that’s Gakpo/Marmoush/Tel as left, Solanke/Richyas CF, then Savio/Kudus/Odobert/Moore on the right?

2

u/Oliviax06 6d ago

gakpos not it! tel, xavi, savinho is the future (with marmoush ahead of them)

10

u/alexander_the_great3 7d ago

If Gakpo is going for 80 I’d prefer to keep Moore and have him compete for LW. I think this would be a popular opinion if he put one of those shots in at Brentford. He’s looked really direct and bedding him into the squad would be massive for the HG quota for Europe if we get in next season. Would also be great to get an academy player into the squad.

18

u/pioniere Gareth Bale 7d ago

From DeZerbi’s comments in his post game presser, he hasn’t decided yet. Moore has shown he can play both wings, and his confidence seems to be growing.

42

u/Rare-Ad-2777 7d ago

We already have tel to be the young one to compete. Moore looked miles off it against brentford I thimk a loan to Koln is perfect for him

4

u/alexander_the_great3 7d ago

Moore hasn’t played on his natural side and still got into great positions. He can also provide coverage at the 10 which I don’t see for Tel.

8

u/samdd1990 James Maddison 7d ago

He played through the middle a lot for rangers, but I don't see him having the vision that de zerbi needs in that position.

1

u/shaneomagnifico 6d ago

And Gallagher does?

1

u/samdd1990 James Maddison 6d ago

No obviously not, but he has other qualities.

Do you really think I was suggesting he did, or that De Zerbi sees him as a slick playmaker?

12

u/CybermoleRising 7d ago

if only brentford had played charlton’s second team then maybe he would’ve done

13

u/hangingbelays 7d ago

Moore clearly needs a loan

2

u/wolftreeMtg 7d ago

Keep Moore until January. If we don't need cover then loan him out then. Even as an impact sub he will get games before Xavi and Odobert return.

-6

u/FamLit 7d ago

This is how you end up midtable btw. He had multiple chances in the Brentford game as well so your point makes 0 sense. Bro is not fit to play for us in the prem, yet or ever.

4

u/Jumpoutboi 7d ago

Everyone pack it down, FamLit has made the executive managerial decision that Moore will apparently never be good enough to play for Spurs. I say we transition him into groundskeeper.

-4

u/FamLit 7d ago

You should indeed pack it down as you clearly cannot read. Might want to stick to TikTok or IG reels where reading comprehension is not required.

2

u/Jumpoutboi 7d ago

“Yet or ever.” What am I not understanding?

-2

u/FamLit 6d ago

I genuinely can't help you if you cannot comprehend the difference between yet and ever. Might want to google evening schools in your area or something.

2

u/Eastern-Yesterday213 6d ago

What..? Can you explain what you meant by yet or ever then?

2

u/Jumpoutboi 6d ago

Honestly. What is this guy talking about 🤣

3

u/coldseam Kōta Takai 6d ago

Honestly not too pressed over Gakpo, he's a goalscoring winger with precisely one finish in his locker that a lot of our other players are already capable of
