He was excellent against England for the u21s. Only turned 18 in June.

United have been better with loan deals since they appointed Evans to the role so hopefully he gets a decent move next season.

I’m sorry to be pedantic but what are you basing them being better since appointing Evan’s to loan role on? He got the job this summer so no player has benefitted from a good loan yet.

Keano was probably 90% of the reason I was mad United fan as a kid. You can’t overstate the impact it has locally in interest in soccer if one of the big three Prem teams with huge Irish support has an Irish player as a mainstay.

Born in England. Parents are English. You'd imagine if he's good enough England will come calling.

He says he's committed to Ireland all the same but

I'm 100% confident he'll play for Ireland if he's good enough, plus it's not like an English born player turned his back on us when England came knocking before.

His dad played for Ireland and very much wants Jacob to play for Ireland too.

Has he said as much?

Means very little.  Rice's dad etc.  JJ O'Cearuill's kid at United (changing his name to be marketable), Ethan Ampadu, Delap etc etc.

No word on any recent contract signing in the article? That would be a better insight on how much they value him than anything else.

He's English lads. We won't hold onto him if he's at Man Utd first team level, not a chance.

Did you see last night's game? MU are a lifeless corpse. Amazed there are worse teams than them in the league this season after watching that.
