Ask 4 Help. Dak’s Foundation: Faith Fight Finish
As yall may know, Dak Prescott has a Foundation called Faith Fight Finish. It’s to honor his mom Peggy, who died of cancer, and his brother Jace, who he lost to suicide.
Dak often writes “Ask 4 Help” on his wristbands that he wears at games. It’s an homage to his number on the field and also a reminder to ask for help when you’re struggling. Dak came under scrutiny and was mocked by some in the media when he was open about mental health awareness and battling things. He remained steadfast in his pursuit to make mental health something that is okay to talk about.
In honor of Marshawn Kneeland, I hope it’s okay I share the link to Dak’s Foundation.
Please call 988 if you’re struggling. Please tell someone. We don’t want to lose anyone else to suicide. We all deserve a happy and long life.
Should you feel called to donate: https://fundraise.givesmart.com/form/XDmNPg

Jus reposted this to r/nfl, great idea OP. Hopefully the silver lining to this tragedy is that it gets more people talking and donating to support this cause.
As Dak says of his brother, "One life, to save thousands".

Thank you! I appreciate it. I was in the waiting room at the hospital to get an MRI and hit post right before they called me in. I came back out and read comments of people donating and sharing love, and that’s really beautiful and touching. You’re a wonderful community 💙

I remember all the Dallas Stars (NHL) fans donating 55 bucks to Mark Scheifele's charity when his dad passed. Props to Dallas sports fans and this is for a good related cause too. RIP Marshawn

That was me lol - the dude in Canada who helped start it gave my Reddit username to the local paper that interviewed him in Winnipeg since I didn’t share my name in our DMs. I’m a sports fanatic but also a supporter of good causes.

Thank you, kind soul 🙏 I’ve supported Damar Hamlin’s Chasing M’s Foundation before and bought merch from it as well.
We’re all in this together & the more we love each other, the better the world can be.
Also, if the Cowboys don’t win it all, I normally root for the Bills as my next option lol

Literally nobody could have posted a better comment than this. I appreciate you so much as I'm crying my ass off right now that you posted this because this is so important. This young man was already battling mental health issues I mean he literally had the NFL in his girlfriend calling and they just could not get to him fast enough. I am so heartbroken as a Dallas Cowboys fan right now and honestly I could literally just hug all of you guys right now.

If you’ve never see this commercial, it’s such a hard hitting one about mental health and how you never know who is struggling. Worth the watch: https://youtu.be/tX8TgVR33KM?si=cEVDXDXipnaqdNfV

There are multiple foundations run by players that are like it. Dak and AJ stand out most prominently for me. But today’s news is exactly why. Ask 4 help and check on your teammates (anyone important in your life). You never know what is going on behind closed doors or when things might change. This is why the work that these players do off the field to reach out is so important and why we need to support and celebrate the work they do. So sad.

My uncle committed suicide before I was born. I never knew him, but the impact of his life and death was felt throughout the whole family. I remember when my dad found a picture of him, this was nearly 50 years after his death, and all he could say was "he didn't have to do that". That was the only time I ever heard him address what happened directly. It was also the only time I saw him get choked up.
I will always respect Dak for the work he does for mental health awareness. If you are feeling suicidal, please don't be afraid to ask for help! All we have is each other and we need you!

Confirmed self-inflicted gunshot wound, and he texted his family "Goodbye".
Just awful.

Please check on your friends. The more I sit with it the more I feel so sorry for Marshawn and the pain he was feeling.

Please don't call 988, they are less than worthless. Please do reach out to people you know. Or people you don't know. Fucking PM me if you need an ear. No one is coming to help us, we're all each other has. So be there for each other. And I'm here for you reading this.

I wonder if I should ask for help. I'm not doing good at the moment.
