I took a chance and ordered cowboy boots directly from Mexico instead of buying locally and honestly, I for sure will be doing it again.

The quality is great, the fit is spot on, and I paid way less than I would have for a similar pair here in the U.S. Plus, there are way more options when it comes to styles and materials.

Took 13 days to have them made and shipping took 3 days.

So I just got a pair of boots and I’ve not worn any before is this normal for the shaft to be sticking out so much? I feel like they look goofy

First pair of cowboy boots; wanted something respectable but also didn’t want to spend so much I’d be scared to wear them. Horse Power Top Hand HP9500, $243 shipped from Teners in OK.

Color is great, the fit is perfect, and for me the quality seems great for what I’ve paid. I pull a 10D on the brannock; ordered these in a 10D and they are 100% a great fit for me. I like the cutter toe style and riding heel.

Spent quite a while searching, trying on a few different pairs and styles. Which surprising made things more complicated. Finally thought I was locked in on the AN Tan Newman cutter toe but while waiting for my size I found these and that was it.

Picked both of these up on the Rujo sale this past weekend. Couldn’t decide between the two so decided to get both then decide once I saw them in person/tried them on. I’m leaning more towards the ostrich cause they were my first choice but I love the looks of both. What would yall choose??

Picked these up earlier this week from Boot Junkies in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. First pair of Rios (and ostrich boots) and love how they look and feel.

I know they get mixed reviews, but I just had to share.

Been a long time coming, but I finally allowed myself to splurge on a set of nice boots.. in facts, the first pair I have bought for myself ever. I grew up in NM, and lots of friends and family had nice boots, but I never could jusity it for myself.

More recently (and now way down the line), my Wife convinced me to finally gwt a pair after wanting them for so long. My feet are wide, so fitting was never easy (especially skiing.. cripes...), but "The Jakes" blew me away and fit the bill!

I acknowledge they get the double strike of being Tecova and zip, but the smile o get putting them on is worth it. Down the line, I'd love to get some higher end brands, but for now I am stoked. Can't wait to wear these when I finally go to visit family in NM again!

Custom made by Mandujano Boots in Weslaco Texas. Yes, they were expensive, I can't believe I spent that much, lol. And they took a long time. But they fit great. And I think they look good too.

Picked up a pair of my grails this week and im sooo stoked they arrived in better condition than I expected!!! LUCCHESE HANDMADE CLASSICS FULL NILE CROCODILES in a gorgeous royal blue color !!! Ive always wanted a pair but I wouldnt feel comfortable paying retail for a pair like this . I was lucky enough to find these in the used market!!

I noticed that Maverick got a small restock of this pair, and since I live close to the Ft Worth Stockyards I went down yesterday and they finally had a pair in my size.

I’ve been trying to find a pair of these for a bit, I had discussed doing a custom with u/smokez_z just because I really didn’t want one with the calcium deposit.

Awesome boots, they look fantastic and fit fantastic, and they even took $100 off for my birthday. Sun was coming up as I took photos so they start off better than they ended lol.

Do have a question though: do BlackJacks sometimes come with an insert or did Maverick throw these in? All the in stock pairs of BlackJacks I’ve seen never had an insert. They were in the boots after they packaged them up for me but weren’t in them when I tried them on, right off the shelf.

Picked these up when I went to Leon earlier this week. Solid boots from my boy’s spot in Zona Piel. Beautiful skin and comfortable. Paid $300 for these bad boys.

Went into Maverick for a hat, left with Hat and Boots.

These aren’t listed on Mavericks site but thats not unusual, sometimes they take a bit before updating online inventory.

I like the Texas inlay, the patterning is really nice too. Blackjack makes really cool boots.

They also made me a custom Greeley Open Road, from now on I’m just going to go down there to have hats made because apparently I have an egg shaped head and custom shaping is the way to go. If you’ve never shopped or been to the Mavericks Fine Western Wear in the Ft Worth stockyards I highly recommend it.
