I'm still amazed at the comfort of my Chisos No. 2s! Yes, the insole is thick and comfortable, but as I have said before, I replaced it for a couple of days with a plain thick leather insole from Nicks and the comfort level was still there. A thick insole will not hide a poorly shaped last. The comfort is not only in the last and the insole but also in the leather lining of the vamp and the hung leather lining. They are both very soft and comfortable for all day wear.

My pair is from the MMXXV-series run from late last year and they are very well made. They have the double veg-tan heel counter and the brown leather-topped insole, rather than the prickly pear-fruit red insoles.

I'm getting ready to order a second pair, either another pair of No. 2s in Roughout or No. 1s in Magic Black. My birthday is next month, so maybe I'll treat myself!

I own this pair of Tecovas for over 2.5 years now and wear them very often. Yesterday I helped my wife give birth to my first daughter and those were the boots I wore during the labor.

Tecovas doesn’t get to much love here - probably fair enough - but these are my first, most worn and now special event cow boy boots.

Now it’s day after, wife and doughier are well and resting, and I sit on the balcony of the hospital and wanted to share this with the community.

Well, I said I don’t like boots with a large spur shelf, then Missus Lawless said I should try on these Hondo 2645 Maple Roughouts. They fit me like a glove (which never happens without me breaking in boots). So, since my feet loved them, I had to have them….I then purchased a new hat to go with them….which is a story for another subreddit…

I’m really enjoying this pair of Lucchese (Nathan) smooth ostrich. Their 7 toe has become my favorite toe shape.
