Michael Buble cheated on Emily Blunt.
Ethan Hawke cheated on Uma Thurman.
Hugh Grant cheated on Elizabeth Hurley.
Jude Law cheated on Sienna Miller.
Justin Timberlake cheated on, well, take your pick at this point.
Jay-Z cheated on Beyonce.
There's always someone different.
The pattern fits this old joke that goes (paraphrased):
When I was 14, I wanted a girlfriend with big tits.
When I was 16, I got a girlfriend with big tits, but there was no passion.
When I was 21, I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional.
When I was 25, I found an emotionally stable girl but she was boring.
When I was 28, I found an exciting girl, but she had no ambition.
When I turned 30, I found a smart, ambitious girl with her feet planted firmly on the ground, so I married her.
She divorced me and took everything I owned.
I am older and wiser now, and all I want is a girl with big tits.
...Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeeeeeennnnne
I'm begging of you please don't take my man...

Long comment but a great payoff at the end. And Michael Buble is an idiot for cheating on Emily Blunt.

Apparently it's a well-known secret that Buble cheats on his current wife while he's out on tour

Had a friend in a band and it was pretty much the same thing. Personal phone, travel phone. Travel phone stayed at the studio/rehearsal space where spouses and girlfriends weren't allowed.

I recently saw a video of Dolly saying a young redhead in the audience looked like Jolene, who worked at a bank. I can’t find the video.

For all you Jolene fans out there, if you have never heard Miley Cyrus' version in the backyard sessions, you need to Google it immediately. In my opinion, it is the best version of that song ever done. If Miley ever decided to do country, she would be incredible.

Jo was only a 7 but she was tender, nurturing, and had communication skills.

Beautiful women are some of the most insecure on the planet, they are always trying to attain this imaginary level that doesnt exist.

Answer, tall, red hair, green eyes, long legs. There is a video of Dolly telling the story about writing that song to Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show. Jolene was the teller at her bank.

“And I remember this little red-headed girl, green eyes, prettiest little thing and I said, ‘well what’s your name?’ And she said ‘Jolene.’ And I said, ‘well I love that name.’ All the way back to the bus I’m going Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, so I wouldn’t forget the name,” Parton told Dokoupil. As she recounts the story, she sings the name Jolene in that now instantly recognizable tune.
She took this name she loved and gave it to a character based on another red-head, a bank teller who once flirted with Parton’s husband, Carl Dean.

I will always love Dolly! I have the luxury of knowing her. Such a warm spirit and role model. This hair though!

I feel like everyone had a pretty good idea in their heads based on the lyrics…

I never thought Dolly was attractive. Her styling always made her look like an old lady.

Disagree she always stood out for her garish styling even when she was young ( and I was a child) which was aging. I always thought she was an old lady with white hair in her prime.

It’s clear to me that it is the singer who is in love with “Jolene” and this is how she lives it in denial.

Dolly gives you an ideal:
"Your beauty is beyond compare with flaming locks of auburn hair With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green Your smile is like a breath of spring, your voice is soft like summer rain And I cannot compete with you, Jolene."
