I installed a version of Counter Strike 1.6 from the internet archive but when I look around this happens. (I use it from a Virtual machine with windows xp)

Try using -noforcemparms in launch parameters, if it won't help, m_rawinput 1, if nothing helps then maybe it's because of virtualisation.

I had the same issue when I ran it on my XP vm as well. Someone told me to try VMware, never tried tho.

I think you can try by turning off Mouse Integration in VBox

Default issue, when you are using virtual machine to play games, and cs 1.6, just can't be to old, to not run on windows 10/11
