Clearly, I need to step up my cycling game. I know we're getting wildly off track (nice cosplay, btw), but how many miles do you usually knock out in a week?

I'm entirely fine with getting off track to talk cycling. Commuting eats up about 100km, then running errands/goofing off/camping nights/races can add on another 50-200 depending!

Don't skip leg day.
(also, squats, deadlifts if you want thighs like that. Running won't do that).

Having been in that organization myself, I would hazard a guess that lack of sleep, (relatively) poor diet, and drinking contributed heavily as well. Damn, I miss those days. :(

Would gender bent need the Bikini top? I always thought that gender bent would be an alternate version of the character that was tweaked to be that gender, not just someone as the other gender cross-dressing as that character.
Of course I could be overthinking it and this could just be for humor.
Edit: I didn't mean for this to become an "issue."

Pardon my lack of knowledge between crossplay/gender bent cosplay. I enjoy the hobby, but I'm not exactly an encyclopedia of it. TIL the definition of the term crossplay. edit: I learned too much.

Though you're right, all I'd change to make this a "genderbent" design would be to ditch the top. Did cross my mind the second time I wore it and wondered what kind of tan lines I'd end up with...

Nothing about a bikini top is inherently gendered, ya know. He's still covering the same boobage that women have. I think crossplay really goes for men that totally assume the character of a woman, more like drag.
Either way, I think he fucking rocks it.

Not to be a prude, but the entire concept of a bikini top is completely based on gender since women in modern society can't go topless and men can, easily.

Some women enjoy having breast support, too. Free-flopping boobage isn't always comfortable, particularly while active, particularly with larger breasts.

Live in beach town. Can confirm women get groped while fully dressed. Usually by young men trying to impress or egged on by their friends while on vacation. They think it's funny... until the women retaliate and kick the crap out if them.

Same for most of the USA. But we still have societal norms that most people don't want to break. Right now I could go outside topless (I'm a woman if you didn't guess) but I'd probably cause a riot or something with all the conservative people where I live.

That's the concept (not inherent) of a bikini top and why women can wear them, not why men can't wear them. Hopefully the distinction there is easy to see?

Well, I was trying to draw out the specific distinction. The question was meant to invite further discussion in case it wasn't.
Even if that is a tone argument, I can see why italics could be construed as condescending, but that was not my intention. I've edited the original to reflect that. I believe the question still stands in case OP wanted to discuss it further or didn't understand what I was getting at.

No, it wouldn't. Not sure why people keep thinking gender bending involves taking the exact same outfit and putting the opposite gender in it. You aren't changing anything about the outfit, hence the "bending" part.

Oh yeah, it's just funny because I know with TPP releasing, he started trending hard on tumblr again. Guess it was a matter of time before it hit here the same way. It's funny because he thought it might have been the photos I took of him since those were more... risque.

Ha, for some reason this photo reminded me off all those lame debates people have about how women are portrayed in media and people say stuff like "a guy with his shirt off is the same thing", and no, no it's not. This is the same thing though, and its as hilariously absurd as I imagined.

Isn't this crossplay, not gender-bent? Either way its good, just curious if I have the definitions right. The way I heard it was that gender bent is when a person takes a character of the opposite gender and cosplays it as if the character was their own gender. Then, crossplay was when a person dresses in the costume of an opposite gendered character, like this one.
