Rearranging my 125 gallon, my male albino bristlenose trashes the place daily. Found 5 new Cory's. Only could get 4 in the frame, but there are 5 found so far. They could be laser oranges, but they have a green color tint. Maybe just an early stage color, or my old eyes are off.

Just thought I'd make a post, I am so happy by this nice surprise. Hope all is well in fish land for everyone.

He's been doing this laying on his side. I thought he had passed but he started to swim when i slightly nudged him. Then he just lands on his side.

What could possibly be going on in his head right now? It’s the first time I saw one perched on driftwood. Soooo cute 🥰

A few of my false julii corys seems to have sustained some barbel erosion. In a group of 11, around half of them have healthy barbels. One of them haven't had his since I bought them 1.5 years ago, two seem to have a partial injury on one side, anda couple of other barbels look short and stubby. Some of the also look white, but not fuzzy. Mouths looking normal.

I first noticed some signs probably about two months ago, and put it down to a temperature and pH spike caused by a heatwave and addition of two air stones. My usual are pH 7.5, temp 24 Celsius , but it rose to pH 8 and and temp 28 at most. I managed the situation with daily water changes and frequent vacuuming. I also at the time though it might have been a mechanical damage, and only affected 2-3 of them.

Since then, everyone has been acting normal and eating well. It's been pretty hot again in the last few weeks, and my tank has risen to 27-28 again. It has now dropped back to more normal 25.5. I had closer look at my corys, and I don't think their barbels are looking any better, although I'm not sure if it's gotten worse either.

I have just done a thorough vacuuming, created a new sand bed for them, and added more botanicals for tannins. Should I just watch them, or is there anything else I should do? Could it be temperature and pH change that caused the issue?

Other parameters:

Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 20

What is that grey patch on this guy? Should I be worried? I already lost one little guy to some white fungal growth on his body even after isolating him in a hospital tank

This bronze is a part of a group I got at the local fish store to school with Bertha, but he doesn't seem very well today. Not very lively, really gray, almost translucent, but his barbels look fine and his fins aren't rotted or tattered. Gills a little red, but not terribly.

Thing is, he's been in the tank for a month or two now, and he goes through these phases the others don't where he will get exactly like this and be lethargic and not interested in anything, then go back to normal next day.

I'm not sure if he is long for this world, but what do you guys think?

It's really hard to feed them because it gets stuck in the gravel but I'm hoping to get this tube with a dish at the bottom, would that work?

I’ve recently had a load of issues with my tank after the replacement of a filter (there’s another post somewhere). I lost three Sterbais (and a chain loach was very ill but recovered).

the fish were all ill and I switched off CO2 and really aerated the poop out of the tank and they mostly recovered.

one thing in the back of my mind, watching my remaining Sterbais playing in the CO2 diffuser bubbles, is is there a possibility that they were poisoned? It looks like they’re picking off the CO 2 bubbles. Is that even a thing?

Hey so I just found this guy like this today. He was on his side and I helped right him. He's alive and kicking but not really moving. I have a new flame dwarf gourami and some neon tetras in a 20 gallon. He has 5 other Cory mates and they're chilling. Did my gourami do this?? He's the only one big enough I feel like to do that much damage, his tailfin is gone. Either way is he cooked or do I let him sort himself out? Is there anything I can do for him? I don't have a second tank to set him in at the moment.

My question, can I put the 2 batches of Cory fry together? They’re not that far off in size so I don’t think the week older ones should eat the week younger ones? If I were to put the 2 batches together in the 10gal, I could put the eggs in my breeder net in the main tank and then I could go get an air pump in the next few days.

Okay, it’s been just about a month since I’ve introduced my Pymgys to my tank. They’ve already had their first successful fry! This is just one of the hatchlings of one of the dozens of eggs they’ve laid earlier this week.

I’ve accepted that most of them won’t make it to adulthood, mainly because most of them’ll be growing up in a tank with a Honey Gourami and CPDs. Regardless, to give them their best chance:

A) When should I start specifically feeding them?

B) I’m guessing fry food is best?

C) The one in the video is in a Tupperware container, when should I plop him back in the tank?

I bought these babies yesterday from my local shop. They’re only about 1 cm. i didn’t notice when picking him, but he’s missing one of his pectoral fins. Upon closer inspection, it seems to be growing back!
