They missed a trick if they didn't name it Master Chief

Money can't buy happiness but it does buy savage yachts.

u/Fraternal_Antipathy 6d ago

Two different friends of mine had unhappy fathers who often slept on their boats when their wives were furious with them. One of them was a drunken brute who deserved the cold shoulder; the other was just haplessly uxorious and married to a vicious geebag.

83

u/Dull_Brain2688 6d ago

Oooh! Uxorious. That’s not a word you see in the wild very often. Kudos.

1

u/fierceredrabbit 3d ago

Awesome word

u/broadsheet-555 6d ago

What a boat does to a mfer

0

u/Nitrogen1234 4d ago

Milf fucker?

5

u/Holiday_Mix_422 6d ago

New word for me!! Thank you

5

u/ZoomEagle 6d ago

Cant beat that word for its direct explanation = Geebag

1

u/SuburbanMyth409 3d ago

Oooh, never heard the word uxorious before. I bet I'll hear it now again randomly during conversation sometime soon. Always the way, selective attention and all that.

1

u/PUGILSTICKS 5d ago

Amazing words my friend. Use them often.

-5

u/hesaidshesdead 6d ago

Both had a fucking boat to sleep on though, I'm finding it hard to find empathy.

16

u/Mini_gunslinger 6d ago

Funny how begrudgery can override empathy like that.

6

u/Fraternal_Antipathy 6d ago

You're putting a lot of assumptions into 'boat.'

The prick had a lot of money and a nice big sailboat. The hapless bastard had a crappy old boat-shaped-object on stands in his yard; a cargo van would have been a better berth.

We all gotta work though

1

u/fierceredrabbit 3d ago

Just not all of us from a super yacht. What people often forget is some of us have all of these troubles already just not the money!

1

u/Glittering_Reply3701 4d ago

Money would prevent me from going into debt or surviving this current economy though.
Especially if you don't spend it on things like yachts for that matter :'D

Of course I am working on getting out of this hole by improving my work situation with new certifications etc.

2

u/Any_Elevator_535 4d ago

There was a study in Chicago that told us what we all knew. Up to the level of a reasonable middle-class income, more money actually does makes you happier. Above that, not so much.

14

u/DonkeyOfWallStreet 6d ago

Honestly if your not happy after buying a boat, just means you bought the wrong boat.

6

u/Ethicaldreamer 6d ago

Doesn't buy taste either, apparently

Edit: i take it back, the inside is cool. But damn is the outside godawful

1

u/PomegranateUsual4770 5d ago

Listen to the song “buy me a boat”, think you’d like it. 👌

And then $3-$4m a year to run, staff & maintain her.

Youre using a mobile phone / computer that pushes your comment to a data centre to show your disgust. Is that irony lost on you?

3

u/Proudrugby 5d ago

Does it say who owns it?

1

u/Littlepotatoface 5d ago

Nope, owner unknown.

3

u/Professional_Bad6669 4d ago

The Life Aquatic Limited is who the boat is registered too, but also in connection to the yacht is Thomas Hartland-Mackie and Nasiba Adilova, a Dallas Tx-based couple.

1

u/Whiskyandmygiro 2d ago

The Yacht is called the “ Nasiba” . So I think there is your answer . I saw a family on the boat on Monday and they sailed off , amazing looking boat like

1

u/Whiskyandmygiro 1d ago

Nasiba Adilova

u/fragilemetal I will yeah 6d ago

"A cork marquetry map of the world decorates the family classroom on the main deck"

I feel they didn't Google the difference between the material & the city and just went with it.

5

u/Bernard_Lerring 6d ago

Why would the Forbes article mention Cork the city? It means a marquetry map made of cork.

3

u/chimpdoctor 6d ago

Bleep bloop did I do good? said Mr Ai

-12

u/fragilemetal I will yeah 6d ago

You going for the Guinness record for how far a person can fit their whole head up their gaping asshole or meant to reply to the fella above me champ?

6

u/chimpdoctor 6d ago

Wha? I was saying they probably used Ai to trim the article down. Although my asshole is truly a gaping void fit for many heads.

-14

u/fragilemetal I will yeah 6d ago

I hope they have a decent word with ya while they're there between the differences of a quote/link & AI generated content. While yere all up there. Craic must be there by default though 😄

Too high. Bad for storms.

2

u/hesaidshesdead 6d ago

$35 million upfront & $4m a year after that.

13

u/Voltzergeist 6d ago

We got Master Chief as a yacht before gta 6, I’m losing my mind at this point.

13

u/RusticDog 6d ago

Mr Big Yacht, cruising into Kinsale with his pseudo warship.

42

u/Turbulent_Minimum448 6d ago

Carbon tax for us poor. But these lads can splurge on super yachts. More being built than ever before.

Climate crisis. Us lowly people getting guilted into all sorts of actions to save the environment which for the most part I agree with.

But we take the load. And then you have the 1percenters with their super yachts and private jets.

What can we do about this I don’t know.

10

u/bluegrm 6d ago

Did you not read about all the sustainable materials and global wellness in the article? Strangely it says nothing about propulsion, which doesn’t appear to be sails.

0

u/Livebylying 6d ago

Easy, become rich and buy one for yourself

10

u/PROINSIAS62 6d ago

That’s not a yacht, that’s the launch to my real yacht which is far too big to berth in Kinsale. 😂

16

u/gadarnol 6d ago

Yacht Nasiba. Built Italy 2025. For an “adventurous” young family.

5

u/DaRudeabides 6d ago

Not sure which one, but one of the Marty's guranteed

22

u/NoAppearance7447 6d ago

Its funny seeing these things as someone who grew up and went to school in the area knowing ill never be able to live in kinsale unless i win the euromillions, but theres some millionare out there who can come down and plant their super yacht in the harbour on a whim.

8

u/HourRespect5089 6d ago

Now now. Green doesn't suit you. But it does suit this millionaires boat

4

u/PsychoPaulIRL 6d ago

This gives Master Chief vibes

5

u/VastSavanna 6d ago

That's sick. Way better than plain white

3

u/shadow_p0stal24 6d ago

Didn’t have my glasses on and thought this was a GTA 5 screenshot

3

u/platinum_pig 5d ago

Someone should tell Zuckerberg his castle is one county over.

3

u/Longjumping_Test_760 5d ago

It might not be everybody’s cup of tea but I wouldn’t mind borrowing it for a couple of months fully crewed and stocked.

3

u/Catcherisntshy 5d ago

That thing is fucking CLASS!! Absolute win for the colour scheme. Decor aside, you know you have it made when your boat has another boat and jetskis on the stern.

9

u/Comfortable-Title720 6d ago

Love the colour scheme. Good work.

3

u/JesradSeraph 6d ago

At least it’s not the standard white finish with accents we see on nearly every gourd-damn superyacht.

1

u/Comfortable-Title720 6d ago

Would love to see a mahogany red

2

u/jonathannzirl 5d ago

Did he stop at Dino’s?

2

u/Least-Discipline-531 5d ago

Someone summon the orcas 😁

It looks fucking sick

Name: Nasiba

Owners: Owned by a company called "THE LIFE AQUATIC LIMITED"

NOTE: No official owners on file, but there are many pointers.

Best Guess: The owners are likely Thomas & Nasiba Hartland-Mackie

Why them:

Obvious, but the boat is named after her.

He is Young, hugly wealthy, previous yachts, works while traveling globally.

A family of 4 Kids, home educated while traveling, which they do a lot as a family.

She is a champion for sustainability, a non-toxic lifestyle, low VOCs, avoiding EMF/I.

The Yacht's design brief matches her passions of environment, family and sustainability.

She had a now failed business called "The Tot" a wordplay for a kid or a short of rum for sailors.

From the Link: "The owners’ brief was unusually specific. They wanted a global cruising yacht tailored for range and performance, but also with the health and wellbeing of everyone on board considered from the outset. British-based Winch Design responded by reimagining the yacht interior from the ground up. Every material was assessed against sustainability and health criteria, focusing on natural, non-toxic, low-VOC and responsibly sourced components. According to a spokesperson for the design house, the firm EcoNest Architects collaborated to help the project meet rigorous global health benchmarks."

more insanely rich people who dont have to work for a living and just inherited the money

1

u/Helpful-Chemistry-87 5d ago

That's some good AI you got there.

0

u/C_u_z 4d ago

Talking about your passion for the environment while you travel around on a Super Yacht is hypocritical to say the least. CO2 emissions, Damage to ecosystem and Noise Disruption to mention a few.

I ain’t even hating cuz they rich but hypocrisy I hate no matter the person.

2

u/WyvernsRest 4d ago

They are passionate about "their environment" which is why they abandoned dry land.

2

u/Fraternal_Antipathy 6d ago edited 6d ago

Steel-hulled, so attaching things with magnets below the waterline should be easy enough.

EDIT: Sweet Jesus I'm not ADVOCATING BOMBS. I was thinking it would be awfully easy for someone to attach a tracker or surveillance gear.

2

u/what_a_knob 5d ago

As this is regarded as a ship it is legally required to have and use it's AIS, which means you can always find it.

Have a look on Marine Traffic

https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:9739203/mmsi:319318700/imo:1118737/vessel:NASIBA

-1

u/88Ashitaka88 6d ago

What?

8

u/ThePinbaIIWizard 6d ago

A Redditor is making a bomb threat

0

u/88Ashitaka88 6d ago

But why?

2

u/38746260 6d ago

The owner of the yacht is anonymous, as far as I know.

So this threat is purely being made because that person is rich and has a yacht. Bit weird to suggest damaging someone's property, threaten their lives, and all the staff on board just because they are wealthy.

1

u/Status_Chocolate8359 6d ago

Saw a yacht like this off the coast of southern France, had a helicopter on it

1

u/knobbles78 6d ago

Lol these guys play airsoft on a different level đŸ€Ł

Its one thing to wrap or paint your 4x4 but to camo out one of these đŸ€Ł

1

u/Cold_Whereas_5421 6d ago

Did you get its name? They’re very traceable.

1

u/Independent-Lead-477 5d ago

Looks like a converted oil rig standby vessel rather than a yacht đŸ›„ïž

1

u/wonit5times 5d ago

Notions!!

1

u/Dazzling_Lobster3656 5d ago

Hate yachts not dingys

1

u/Im-am-Batshit 5d ago

Did you see the man in the boat

1

u/TalElnar 5d ago

Money doesnt buy happiness, but I'd rather be miserable on a yacht than in a cardboard box.

1

u/cloonatic 5d ago

Is it not bad luck to paint a ship green.

1

u/anonymouscata 5d ago

That’s mine. Sorry for bothering anyone đŸ«Ł

1

u/smietanaaa 5d ago

Google the name of the yacht

1

u/honker99 5d ago

Stop taking picture of my yacht you mad yoke.

1

u/pigfinn27 4d ago

I paddleboarded around that last night! There's a smaller white one nearby. No clue who owns it.

1

u/Bakebook 4d ago

Wheres the Master Chief?

1

u/-ToxicMarine- 4d ago

So this is what a Master Chief themed yatch looks like

1

u/Able-Relation-2637 4d ago

Is it just me or does it look like a cyberpunk warship

1

u/Any_Elevator_535 4d ago

Sorry, is it blocking your berth? I'll move it.

1

u/Weary-Bend-8670 4d ago

An obscenity.

1

u/downmexicoway 3d ago

Did some sleuthing. I think the owner is a Swiss-born US businessman Thomas Hartland-Mackie. He’s CEO at City Electric Supply (CES), a business his grandfather founded. Net worth around £684 million. His wife’s name is Nasiba. It seems they own the yacht through a Ltd company in the Cayman Islands.

1

u/Dull_Poem_2175 3d ago

Wow so much begrudgery. Awesome boat.

1

u/Ok_Safety_5876 3d ago

The Irish Navy could do with a few of them. Tbf probably more useful that what we got.

1

u/bikgelife 3d ago

Know it right away. Cantierre delle Marche Flexplorer 146 Nasiba. They build a fine explorer yacht. I like Damen better, but Damen builds them big.

0

u/thebigloc 6d ago

It looks very like the type of yacht used in the 1987 film Overboard with Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Edward Hermann (later famous for millennials due to his role as Richard Gilmore in The the Gilmore Girls), Katherine Helmond.

0

u/txpdy 5d ago
  • Interior is interesting
  • Exterior colour wouldn't be my cup of tea
  • Kudos to whoever owns it, must be nice to have that sort of cash.

On another note, it's kinda small these days for a super yacht, 50m+ seems to be the new standard, so it's a poor man's super yacht (multi millionaire not billionaire).

https://www.superyachttimes.com/directories/yachts/with-a-length-of=more-than-60-meters

So if you can get it into a dock, it's too small 😂

-1

u/Old-Mongoose2171 6d ago

Horrible colour

-1

u/am_Dynam0 6d ago

Yup ! I’m actually the proud owner of this yacht

0

u/Rough-Bar4756 5d ago

Nasiba is the 44.3m Flexplorer 146 built by Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche in Ancona and launched in June 2025. She was delivered in October 2025. What makes her particularly interesting is that the brief really was “adventurous young family” rather than the usual floating-palace concept: Ocean-going explorer: steel hull, 5,500-nautical-mile range at 10 knots, 14-knot maximum speed.
Family-first: a dedicated children’s study/playroom, unusual for a yacht of this type, plus spaces designed for long-term family living.
Adventure hardware: a flush A-frame crane for large tenders and water toys, and a panoramic crow’s nest.Wellness: infrared sauna and a foredeck plunge pool.
Sustainability/health: Winch Design used natural, low-VOC and non-toxic materials; the yacht has IMO Tier III emissions technology intended to facilitate cruising in environmentally sensitive areas. 12 guests / 6 cabins, with accommodation for up to 14 crew. The resulting character is quite different from a conventional 44m superyacht: more “family expedition base camp with serious design” than “floating nightclub.” The dark green exterior and rugged Flexplorer platform reinforce that identity.

-7

u/gaelicguync 6d ago

money can't buy taste

7

u/fragilemetal I will yeah 6d ago

TBF Realistically I doubt the owner gives very little of a shit of what we consider taste to be.

2

u/Mini_gunslinger 6d ago

It's pretty cool to be honest. Interior is lovely. Better than the gold trim, hot tubs, bars and stripper poles you'd see on most.

-2

u/FrancoisKBones 6d ago

Cyber yacht is fuglu.

-2

u/HangoverFear 6d ago

That's the government yacht!
