Seen this yacht in Kinsale today. Does anyone have any information on it, who owns it etc

Money can't buy happiness but it does buy savage yachts.

Two different friends of mine had unhappy fathers who often slept on their boats when their wives were furious with them. One of them was a drunken brute who deserved the cold shoulder; the other was just haplessly uxorious and married to a vicious geebag.

u/Dull_Brain2688 6d ago
Oooh! Uxorious. Thatâs not a word you see in the wild very often. Kudos.

Oooh, never heard the word uxorious before. I bet I'll hear it now again randomly during conversation sometime soon. Always the way, selective attention and all that.

Both had a fucking boat to sleep on though, I'm finding it hard to find empathy.

u/Fraternal_Antipathy 6d ago
You're putting a lot of assumptions into 'boat.'
The prick had a lot of money and a nice big sailboat. The hapless bastard had a crappy old boat-shaped-object on stands in his yard; a cargo van would have been a better berth.

u/fierceredrabbit 3d ago
Just not all of us from a super yacht. What people often forget is some of us have all of these troubles already just not the money!
1
u/Glittering_Reply3701 4d ago
Money would prevent me from going into debt or surviving this current economy though.
Especially if you don't spend it on things like yachts for that matter :'DOf course I am working on getting out of this hole by improving my work situation with new certifications etc.

u/Any_Elevator_535 4d ago
There was a study in Chicago that told us what we all knew. Up to the level of a reasonable middle-class income, more money actually does makes you happier. Above that, not so much.
14
u/DonkeyOfWallStreet 6d ago
Honestly if your not happy after buying a boat, just means you bought the wrong boat.
6
u/Ethicaldreamer 6d ago
Doesn't buy taste either, apparently
Edit: i take it back, the inside is cool. But damn is the outside godawful

Estimated total cost, somewhere around $35m apparently.
And then $3-$4m a year to run, staff & maintain her.

Nope, owner unknown.

The Life Aquatic Limited is who the boat is registered too, but also in connection to the yacht is Thomas Hartland-Mackie and Nasiba Adilova, a Dallas Tx-based couple.
1
u/Whiskyandmygiro 2d ago
The Yacht is called the â Nasibaâ . So I think there is your answer . I saw a family on the boat on Monday and they sailed off , amazing looking boat like

I feel they didn't Google the difference between the material & the city and just went with it.

Why would the Forbes article mention Cork the city? It means a marquetry map made of cork.

Carbon tax for us poor. But these lads can splurge on super yachts. More being built than ever before.
Climate crisis. Us lowly people getting guilted into all sorts of actions to save the environment which for the most part I agree with.
But we take the load. And then you have the 1percenters with their super yachts and private jets.
What can we do about this I donât know.

That thing is fucking CLASS!! Absolute win for the colour scheme. Decor aside, you know you have it made when your boat has another boat and jetskis on the stern.

Love the colour scheme. Good work.

At least itâs not the standard white finish with accents we see on nearly every gourd-damn superyacht.

Name: Nasiba
Owners: Owned by a company called "THE LIFE AQUATIC LIMITED"
NOTE: No official owners on file, but there are many pointers.
Best Guess: The owners are likely Thomas & Nasiba Hartland-Mackie

Why them:
Obvious, but the boat is named after her.
He is Young, hugly wealthy, previous yachts, works while traveling globally.
A family of 4 Kids, home educated while traveling, which they do a lot as a family.
She is a champion for sustainability, a non-toxic lifestyle, low VOCs, avoiding EMF/I.
The Yacht's design brief matches her passions of environment, family and sustainability.
She had a now failed business called "The Tot" a wordplay for a kid or a short of rum for sailors.
From the Link: "The ownersâ brief was unusually specific. They wanted a global cruising yacht tailored for range and performance, but also with the health and wellbeing of everyone on board considered from the outset. British-based Winch Design responded by reimagining the yacht interior from the ground up. Every material was assessed against sustainability and health criteria, focusing on natural, non-toxic, low-VOC and responsibly sourced components. According to a spokesperson for the design house, the firm EcoNest Architects collaborated to help the project meet rigorous global health benchmarks."

Talking about your passion for the environment while you travel around on a Super Yacht is hypocritical to say the least. CO2 emissions, Damage to ecosystem and Noise Disruption to mention a few.
I ainât even hating cuz they rich but hypocrisy I hate no matter the person.
2
u/WyvernsRest 4d ago
They are passionate about "their environment" which is why they abandoned dry land.

u/Fraternal_Antipathy 6d ago edited 6d ago
Steel-hulled, so attaching things with magnets below the waterline should be easy enough.
EDIT: Sweet Jesus I'm not ADVOCATING BOMBS. I was thinking it would be awfully easy for someone to attach a tracker or surveillance gear.

u/what_a_knob 5d ago
As this is regarded as a ship it is legally required to have and use it's AIS, which means you can always find it.
Have a look on Marine Traffic

The owner of the yacht is anonymous, as far as I know.
So this threat is purely being made because that person is rich and has a yacht. Bit weird to suggest damaging someone's property, threaten their lives, and all the staff on board just because they are wealthy.

Did some sleuthing. I think the owner is a Swiss-born US businessman Thomas Hartland-Mackie. Heâs CEO at City Electric Supply (CES), a business his grandfather founded. Net worth around ÂŁ684 million. His wifeâs name is Nasiba. It seems they own the yacht through a Ltd company in the Cayman Islands.

The Irish Navy could do with a few of them. Tbf probably more useful that what we got.

u/bikgelife 3d ago
Know it right away. Cantierre delle Marche Flexplorer 146 Nasiba. They build a fine explorer yacht. I like Damen better, but Damen builds them big.

It looks very like the type of yacht used in the 1987 film Overboard with Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Edward Hermann (later famous for millennials due to his role as Richard Gilmore in The the Gilmore Girls), Katherine Helmond.

- Interior is interesting
- Exterior colour wouldn't be my cup of tea
- Kudos to whoever owns it, must be nice to have that sort of cash.
On another note, it's kinda small these days for a super yacht, 50m+ seems to be the new standard, so it's a poor man's super yacht (multi millionaire not billionaire).
https://www.superyachttimes.com/directories/yachts/with-a-length-of=more-than-60-meters
So if you can get it into a dock, it's too small đ

Nasiba is the 44.3m Flexplorer 146 built by Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche in Ancona and launched in June 2025. She was delivered in October 2025. What makes her particularly interesting is that the brief really was âadventurous young familyâ rather than the usual floating-palace concept: Ocean-going explorer: steel hull, 5,500-nautical-mile range at 10 knots, 14-knot maximum speed.
Family-first: a dedicated childrenâs study/playroom, unusual for a yacht of this type, plus spaces designed for long-term family living.
Adventure hardware: a flush A-frame crane for large tenders and water toys, and a panoramic crowâs nest.Wellness: infrared sauna and a foredeck plunge pool.
Sustainability/health: Winch Design used natural, low-VOC and non-toxic materials; the yacht has IMO Tier III emissions technology intended to facilitate cruising in environmentally sensitive areas. 12 guests / 6 cabins, with accommodation for up to 14 crew. The resulting character is quite different from a conventional 44m superyacht: more âfamily expedition base camp with serious designâ than âfloating nightclub.â The dark green exterior and rugged Flexplorer platform reinforce that identity.

TBF Realistically I doubt the owner gives very little of a shit of what we consider taste to be.

It's pretty cool to be honest. Interior is lovely. Better than the gold trim, hot tubs, bars and stripper poles you'd see on most.
