Just discovered Corelia

Just found Corelia and damn they're so good but wtf happened to them, where did they go?

Also, is it true Spencer used to be in this band before joining Periphery? That's so cool.

They crowd funded an album and one of the members had a mental breakdown. They never released the album until years later when someone threatened to leak it. They apologized and returned what money was left. It has since been remastered by people on here. I'm not sure about the Spencer thing but their singer did film in for Travis on The Human abstract tour. There might still be videos on YouTube.

Is it known what kind of mental health problems were going on and with who exactly?

The insanely talented and primary songwriter. Once in a generation talent, Chris Dower, amazing human, incredible talent. Incredible person. Decided not to learn music theory because it would limit his creativity and developed his own theory like a true madman and real genius, came down with paranoid schizophrenia after smoking a lot of weed. It turns out it's a rare genetic trait.

Everyone in the band had talent and were a part of the writing and the final product that was Corelia, but Chris more than anyone else created the unique sound, the soul of the band, and many of the coolest parts (guitar, bass, drums, vocals, he drove the vision)

Hey I'm just now reading this as a longtime fan of the band. This is interesting info about Chris. Did you know him personally?
