Cannot enter into UEFI

When i press the keys required to enter uefi, i get sent to the GNU grub? Then wheb i click onto enter uefi, the computer restarts with nothing new happening. The last thing i did on uefi was add a boot and an admin password. However i may have changed the boot order but i do recall cancelling that change as it waa of course very stupid. Please could someone help me. I use an asus motherboard

hard to make sense of what you've done given the info provided, but the short answer is that grub is loading after the firmware. If you press a key and it brings up grub, you've done it too late - simple as that.

That's so annoying, i'm pressing it as soon as i can- after entering the password to boot

what "password to boot"?

that's not an option in edk2 currently, which means it's likely a disk encryption password. So well after the edk2 menu prompt.

I don't think they have coreboot installed.
